AstroVille's highest funded High School, Westville, became massively crowded during after school hours due to Dance Team tryouts. Hallucinations of spearmints had become socially accepted as mint green, brown, and white were seen everywhere. More than ever in this moment. Without exception, every girl in the gym had a common end goal. To impress the badass Juniper Rosewood. And not only because she was attractive, but because their undecided fate lied in her cold hands. Team Captain. Nerves had not yet risen to their full potential. Why? Something was missing. Someone was missing. Someone "irreplaceable". Where was Juniper Rosewood?
Junipers POV
I took a deep glance in the mirror. No matter how hard I tried to be content, I just couldn't. It was as if every time I looked, I was missing something; but, not something physical like lipstick or eyebrows. Something was missing on the inside that was so important, it was visible from the outside. No amount of makeup or degree of a smile could even mask this missing component. Was it happiness? Was it love? Was it strength? There were endless possibilities. The bags under my eyes were blanketed by a coat of rich brown foundation; however, the weight still pulled me down. A final look was taken before I put on one last stroke of Mint Carmex and stomped away with intensity.
Time in the gym went by passively slow. "You're in" and "Hell no" were my signature words, well, up until some hot tamale came in and changed that. She stood out for many reasons, but still that body and face made me forget all about them. Her entrance was wicked as no words were said. She just started swaying her hips in such motions that my mouth ran dry. My body tensed up. My panties were now Soaked.
"You must not be one with words." I commented as her seductive dance came to an end.
"Usually my dancing speaks for me; but, since you're so eager to know, I'm Violette Blaze" She said with the biggest smile and a hollow wink.
Violette Blaze, Violette Blaze. That name sounded so familiar...... Ah, Violette Blaze. As in the one who's said to have been "busting it open" around school. I don't know if It's true or not, but guys won't leave her name out their mouth...... Now I see why. She looks this good.
Before I built up the stamina to flirt some more, I noticed a pair of eyes locked on me. A quick evil glance is all she got before I turned back around. It was Junius' girlfriend Audrey. Not even Junius himself could convince me that this girl didn't have a problem with me. If it weren't for Junius she would have been dropped from the team quicker than his grade in chemistry last year.
"Well Violette, I'm sure the Cheer Team will love you." I said, leaving my face completely expressionless.
I noticed her large hazel eyes squint, most likely trying to read what the hell was going on in this disarranged head of mine.
"Thank you, Juniper." She voiced before walking off with confidence and a smirk that never quite left her rosy face.
Thank you? Did she forget what this was? Did she forget who I am?
