The seekers had put me in a small house, void of personal things. It was cold and unforgiving though. I shivered every time I saw the silver in people's eyes. No. these are not people. These are monsters. When I found out about the humans, I was enchanted. Then I had heard about the seekers being so ruthless to find the last of them so I fled to try to help.
I searched the body for a way to help. To get out of here. I looked and found the answer. Her sister had a hiding place. I had to go find her. When it got dark I went outside, got in my car, and drove. This host had lived in tucson not far from here. I had been placed in Arizona to live. I drove through the night and eventually got to tucson. It was about 2 a.m. when I got to where the sister would be hiding. It was a small shack at the edge of the city. I got out and went up to the door. I hesitated. What if she didn't believe me? I decided it was worth the risk. I gave a quiet knock on the door and spoke her name. "Olivia?" There was no reply.
I turned around to leave when the door creaked open. I turned around to see a face like mine poke her head out the door and look around. She appears to be confused. "Why are there no seekers? WHY ARE THERE NO SEEKERS!!!!!" She shouts at me. I reply as calmly as I can, "There are no seekers here because I do not trust them. They are... Monsters!" She looked me over and did something unexpected. She hugged me.
"Thank you! You have kept my sister alive!" She said, sobbing. "I-I don't understand." I reply, confused.
"My sister was in a car crash 3 years ago. She never woke up."
"Bu-but-but I'm a soul. I'm of the species that took your world from you!" "That doesn't matter! You didn't call the seekers on me even though you knew where I was!" She smile was so widely I thought her face would split.Plus I think we're on the same side. Would you like to come in? I'm packing." She proceeded to head back into the shack. "Why?" I asked. If the seekers didn't know where she was, why move? "Because," she explained, "there's a whole hoard of humans living in the desert. And we're going to find them."
