A Christmas To Remember

The season is here again !! It is the time of the year when people bake cookies , decorate trees , sing songs , when children are given presents and an old , big and fat man wears ridiculous clothing and goes around calling himself  , 'Santa Claus' ...Blah blah blah.

"Hey Eric ! "
"Gosh, Jasmine, don't sneak up on me like that "
"Someone is in a bad mood today, I am sorry "
"Whatever, where is Kelvin ? "
"He will be here in a sec , speak of the devil ! "
"Hey guys "
"Hey, join us "
"What is  up with you Eric ? You look unhappy "
"More like frustrated if you ask me, anyways it's because Christmas is around the corner, he hates Christmas "
"Really ? Why ? "
"Well, it reminds him of bad childhood memories, I don't really know the full story, he doesn't like talking about it "
"Excuse me "
"Where are you going to Eric ? "
"I have lost my appetite, I will be in the wash room "
"More food for me then "
"We have a problem Jasmine "
"What problem ? Oh, is it about  Eric ? don't worry  , he will come around , just give him some space "

It is true ,  I HATE  Christmas , hearing someone say that word pisses me off . Christmas took everything from me  and destroyed my entire life !

"Eric, don't tell me you're still sulking "
"Oh come on Jasmine ! Of course not ! "
"Well, I'm sorry for..."
"Jasmine, please let's not talk about it, change the topic "
"So, do you have plans tonight ? "
"No, why ? "
"Today is the premiere of Wicked The Movie, I and Kelvin are going to the cinema, do you want to tag along ? "
"Yeah, sure, it is  much better than staying at home all alone and besides I want to clear my head and forget some things "
"Great ! We would come pick you up at your place"

"Hey , did you watch it ? "
" Yeah , I  , Kelvin and Eric went to the cinema yesterday, it's a great film , I liked how the story played out "
" About Eric , does he really hate Christmas ? "
" Yes , I don't know why , I mean everyone love Christmas "
"Exactly Jasmine ! "
"Hey girls "
"What's up Kelvin "
"What are you talking about ? "
"Eric's hate for Christmas "
"I think you need to take him to a psychiatrist because he is out of his senses "
"Cassandra , don't say that ! "
" Are you insinuating that Eric has his lost his mind or something ? That's not nice Cassie "
" No, I don't mean it that way , please think this through , yes , Eric hates Christmas , we all know that , but why ? What's his reason ? Definitely something's wrong somewhere , maybe something tragic happened to him in the past probably on Christmas , maybe he went through  some kind of trauma , there must be a reason and that is why I am suggesting we seek help from a specialist "
"You are right Cassie , it will really help him in some way , count me in "
" I know someone , but he is out of  town  , he will be back on Tuesday "
"Great, we will book an appointment on his behalf . It's settled "
"I have to say , Cassie  , you are really smart "

"I hate to burst the bubble but we still have a problem , how are we going to make Eric to go and see the Psychiatrist ? How do you suggest we do that ? We all know he is very stubborn "
" Yeah , that is an issue . How do we do that ? We can't just say, 'Hey Eric , we think you might be suffering from a trauma, that is why we decided that you should go and see a psychiatrist '
Can we ? That won't work out "
"I think I have an idea that might work "
"Oh , wow , for the very first time , Jasmine has an idea , a round of applause please "
