Chapter 9: Mikey gets hurt

Leo's pov

The next day. We all went to bed early last night a little after Mikey went to bed actually. I had shown Karai her new 'room' which was the couch for now. I woke up early and started making my rounds around the lair. It was quiet. And not the unnerving kinda quiet it was the relaxing kinda quiet. Until I heard a groan that was coming from Mikey's room. I walked over to his door and saw it was opened slightly ajar. I saw him on his bed rubbing his ankle with a painful look on his face. "Mikey?" I asked knocking on the door. He quickly stopped what he was doing and looked towards the door.

"Em hey Leo, uh how long were you there?" He asked still sitting down on his bed but sitting straight up.

"Em not long, but are you okay?" I said rubbing my neck.

"Ok and I'm fine." He said.

"Are you fine to make breakfast?" I asked with a little concern in my voice.

"Yeah yeah I'll be fine to make breakfast, what do you think I should make?" He said before standing up. He flinched as his right foot touched the ground.

"Are you hurt?" I asked. He said nothing and looked at the ground.

"Are you hurt?" I asked again but this time a bit more quietly.

"Yeah." He said quietly.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked.

"What's going on Orenji-iro, Ao?" Karai asked in her morning voice. (Orenji-iro means the color Orange in Japanese and Ao means the color Blue in Japanese)

"Mikey is hurt." I replied. Her eyes went wide and she quickly walked over to him in a Flash.

"Where are you hurt?" She asked concern in her voice. Mikey pointed to his right foot/ankle.

"Oh Orenji-iro, let's go put some cream on it." She said. Mikey nodded. Karai and Mikey went to the bathroom.

'Heh she really is being protective. She's a good big sister.' I thought smiling leaning against the wall with my arms crossed. (No this isn't Leorai, there are no Ships unless I say so).
