54 : i'm sorry, ethan

Despite the fact about Ethan is coming back Jaeyun still spend his time for his friend. But, he is a little close to smack his face because Ethan came just for Hyejin.

And now, Ethan nonstop talking about Hyejin. He even asked Jaeyun to call Hyejin on purpose so he could see her face. Jaeyun clenched his jaw.

“I was wondering if she has her own type of man. You know, a woman like Hyejin is special. She knows what she wanted and needed. If she open up a little bit I will be the best man for her!” he said with a dreamy smile.

Meanwhile Jaeyun. He tried so hard to act calm and like he doesn't care at all but if it's Park Hyejin is their topic now. How come he could stay calm? With Ethan presence?

Oh, Jaeyun wished he could scream that right in front Ethan's face but he couldn't. On Ethan's mind, Hyejin is his friend and nothing much but little did he know, Hyejin already belong to Sim Jaeyun.

“You like her that much?”

“Yes!” he paused, “the moment I saw her I know she is special especially the way she carry herself—oh, gosh!”

Relax, Jaeyun.

“When I heard her voice for the first time I wish to listen to it everyday. I could do that forever and will never get bored!”

I can listen to her everyday!

“Oh, I'm so in love with her. What should I do now? But, seem like you're right Jake—she is playing hard to get!”

Of course, she's my woman!

Jaeyun loosened up his tie, letting his anger came out from his body. He should control himself from getting angry over Ethan who know nothing about his relationship.

He trusts Hyejin's loyalty. He knows she won't betrayed him. He also knows how bad Ethan Lee could be because he's very expect with women. A one call, but thousand responder.

“Do you think she has a free time, tonight?” Ethan asked and Jaeyun just shook his head. Actually, he want to bring her for dinner.

“Should I ask her? Maybe we can choose another day if she's busy today?” Ethan added and Jaeyun nodded, agreeing with his friend.

Maybe that's more easy? If Hyejin go out with Ethan today then, she doesn't have to tomorrow! Besides, Jaeyun knows she will come to him again after going out with Ethan.

“I think she's free today. Maybe I can ask to come here and you can ask her right now.” he suggested and Ethan can't help but smiling.

“It's a great idea, Jake!”

Hyejin never thought Jaeyun will let her go out with Ethan. After all, she knew that Jaeyun doesn't want her to see Ethan after this and she can't help.  She still agreeing with Ethan because she's just being nice.

After working time, Ethan brings her to the amusement park. He brought her to play some games and buy her food. Hyejin was so happy having a so-called date with Ethan.

“Here, strawberry flavour for you!” he handed her a cone of ice cream and she thanked him. Ethan sat next to her while watching people around them.

“Thank you for spending your time with me, Hyejin. I hope I'm not messing up your plan if you got one tonight.” he said and she look at him with a soft smile.

“It's fine, we are friends and I don't mind hanging out with you. Next time, you can text me if you want to see me.” she replied and enjoying her ice cream afterward.

They stay silent for awhile before Ethan speak up. His question was unpredictable and Hyejin doesn't know how to react. She looks directly into Ethan's eyes.

“Hyejin, do you love him that much?” he paused, eyes on the ground, “do you love Jake so much?”

“W-what?” she flustered by them at question and her body froze there. Her eyes still looking at Ethan with a sympathy stare because she realized that he knew.

Ethan look at Hyejin and he smile, “your eyes tells, Hyejin and everyone knows. One look and I know you love him and... And he loves you too. I can read the room really well. I know that stare of your on Jake was different rather than me. I can sense it from the beginning but I tried my luck, turned out I was wrong. Am I... Am I such a disturber in your relationship with him?”

Hyejin slowly shook her head. She can't speak, her lungs felt so heavy. She look away and wipe her tears, feeling guilty with Ethan. Everything, he already knows about them.

“I'm sorry, Ethan.”

He chuckled, cupping her jaw, “sorry for what? You did nothing wrong and I'm not blaming anything on you. For the last time, before I stop myself from loving you—I just want to say that I love you since our first met.”

Hyejin wiped her tears and look at Ethan. She realized, he's so precious to love her and she didn't deserve him.

“Ethan, I can't be someone that you want me to be but I hope you can stay as my friend. Besides, I don't have much male friend so I want you to stay as my friend. I wish, you'll find someone who truly deserve you.” she caressed his cheek with his painful smile on.

“I hope so. I will found that person someday.”

Ethan swiftly scooted from her and control himself. He can't show his feeling in front of her now so Ethan decided to call it a day.

“Let's call it a day, shall we? You have someone to see, am I right?” he asked with a playful tone and Hyejin can't help but chuckled.

“Yeah, I have a lot of thing to explain. You should meet him and tell him everything. I don't Jaeyun see you as a competitor.” she stood up with a sigh of relief.

Ethan laughed.

Sometimes, a heartbreak is good remedy for heart.
