We had a bit of a fascination with the deer that we found on what we thought was the way back. The deer had no fear in its eyes, which were leaking purple smoke we both commented on, as my buddy grabbed a sling out of the backpack he had brought. Ruso shot the deer with a sharp rock and it fell with a loud thud. We kept trying to go back but the path we had taken here never led back to the park. We were getting kind of shaken up so we were going to find something to sleep in because we were barely strong enough to move a log. We just kept walking about looking for an abandoned area or such since this area did look like it would have some.

We found an abandoned house and for some abstract reason it had a deer head mounted on either side of the house. There was a little fire pit on one of the sides of the house. It was just big enough to cook a few pieces of meat at a time. We went to bed on these two ragged mattresses at either side of the place. They were probably made of straw and some fabric. Since it would have been rotten in the morning we went to get the body of the deer. Apparently Ruso and his dad go out hunting regularly because he knew how to gut the whole deer appropriately. All he needed was a good sharp rock like a piece of flint. We both sat around the fire just like we would at a campsite, then cooked the meat on the fire. Ruso screamed out into the open wilderness "It's a feast fit for a king!" We chatted until we just lay in the moonlight.... Silence filled the darkness for about 30 minutes until he said again "It's getting late, we should probably get some rest." He said with a sleepy tone. Since we had both finished our meals I was fine with it. I only found out that Ruso snores that day. We have never had sleepovers or anything like that. I was really tired from all of the walking so I still fell asleep really easily.

Ruso was acting a bit off the next morning. It may have been the fact that we are lost in the woods with no visible way out. "That's probably it" I thought. We were thinking about just staying near and watching the forest go by near the fire. The leaves rustling, a baby deer eating some berries, and the sounds of the fire quietly crackling relaxed us both.

Ruso at about halfway through the day went out into the forest. He came back an hour or two later, he had different clothes on with a different expression on his face and a different personality overall. I asked him how he got the clothes and he said "I found them lying over a branch near an abandoned house." I tried not to think about it and went on with the day. Speaking of the day it seemed to be coming to an end, just like that we were asleep.

The sun woke up and so did we. We started out just like yesterday and he went out at about the same time. This time I decided to follow him, with every 1 step he took I took 3. I got about 30 yards ahead of him to see what he was doing. He grabbed the rock that he used to gut our dinner a few nights before and was sneaking around near a group of deer. He pulled out his sling from one of his pockets, loaded a rock into it, pulled it back and let it go. Two of the deer fell to the ground immediately, one other ran away. Ruso ran over, grabbed the rock and struck the deer with it.

He was walking over to what looked like a ring of stones with a sitting stone in the middle. He was holding all three of the deer which were limp in his arms. He sat down and with I think a thin vine and thin needle. I have no idea where he got the needle. He began using the needle and vine to sew together the deer hide after he had gutted and taken the meat to somewhere else. I think I know where he got the clothes he was currently wearing. He was probably making clothes for me I thought. There was a seemingly endless sense of calm that washed over both me and Ruso. There was a slight purple smoke that came out of the 7 tall stones. It startled me slightly but somehow it calmed Ruso and me even more. It seemed Ruso barely even noticed the smoke. He was just sewing. Since the smoke was making me feel a bit lightheaded I went back to the house.

Ruso came back an hour later with clothes for me. He used the same excuse that he did for his clothes. Since my clothes were a bit dirty I decided to take the deer hide ones. They were very comfortable even though the leather was not tanned. We decided to explore for a way out.

We took a minute to get ready. We had discovered that near our house and all around the area were berries so on our travels we could eat those. It was getting sort of late so we both went to bed.

We got up with a surprising amount of energy and set off. Ruso went off into the forest apparently collecting berries. I had found a good log to sit on in the area and sat there until he came back about 30 minutes later with a pouch full of berries. He said he found it laying on the ground and he put the berries inside. We again both set off into the woods. About 30 minutes later we found an altar looking thing. It had a picture of a giant tiger on it with a sign in Latin below. I had taken Latin courses the year before so I could read it. It said "Bring Me Prey." Since back at home we had smoked a lot of meats to preserve them we were going to get them.

After a lot of walking we were home. Since it was almost dark we went to bed before the tiger would come out of that altar.

We went back to the altar and left smoked meats for Him. A gigantic tiger came out of the bushes and started to jump on Ruso. Ruso just then turned into a giant lion. He fought fearlessly and ended up taking the win.

I walked home while Ruso kept telling me that he never even thought that he could do that. I was just so impressed. We got back home and tried taking the trail back out of this hellscape. But no we were stuck here

We would be forever
