The second I knew my mother had cancer I was devastated, I wanted to cry but couldn't. I knew it was time to be brave and time for me to be the woman in the house even though I was only fourteen.
I knew everything was-- NOT going to be okay. And not because I had to become the woman of the house but because of the sad way my mother would die.

She would die knowing a secret no one else would know.

And soon I would be the one having to cook and clean before my dad was home, wash the clothes every week, and deal with all my dad's problems.

I don't think --- scratch that. I know my mom did not deserve to get cancer. Although she did have her evil ways.

She was so gorgeous with her beautiful, shiny, blonde-brown hair, and green eyes. This was her charm, showing off her hair to look better than others.

My mom was not the most nice, but I have to say the most beautiful, and she was smart, and I mean so smart.

She knew practically everything although that was the scary part about her. She would know stuff you didn't even know you knew.
She was too smart. She knew something know else knew she was hiding something.

I know it sounds like I'm talking like she's already dead but -- I mean she's not dead but sadly I know she will be soon.
Not because of her sickness but because of her lies and cheats.

I'm Kiana Hipp and I'm fourteen years old and I have to find out what's going on.
