Alyssa
It's my first day of 11th grade.
"ALI WAKE UPPP" my sister, Lyla, screams.
"Mmh" I mumbled, half asleep.
"Get changed it's the first day of school"
"Bitch"
"What did you just call me??" She gasps, pretending to be in shock.
"Nothing."
"I'm telling mom."
"Don't you dare."
-
I get ready and I finish my breakfast when I hear a muffled honk outside, that must be Emi.
Emilie is my best friend in the world, she drops me off at school every day.
I quickly gather my things and rush out the door, slamming it on my way out.
"GOOD MORNING WORLD!" She screams, with way too much energy for this time of day.
"Shut up it's too early for that shit."
"May I remind you who's taking you to school?"We continue bantering for a few minutes until we break into conversation.
"I'm so single" I whine.
"Did you really hook up with no one the whole summer break?" She asks.
"Nope"
"Damn. Oh hey, did you hear, apparently there's this new girl Billie Connor or something starting school, maybe you could try to get in her pants." She chuckles.
"Billie? Isn't that a boy's name? And how do you know if she's even gay?" I shake my head.
"I thought it was weird too, never met a girl named Billie, and she hasn't come out or anything but apparently it's really obvious."
"Hm," I shrug.
-
We get to school and go to hang out by the lockers, judging everyone's outfits, we do this every day.
"What about her?" I smirk, pointing to a girl wearing grey sweatpants, a black tube top and white platform Converse.
"Damn that outfit is basic but she makes it look hella cute.." Em blushes.Emilie claims she's straight but recently she's been experimenting a bit and I think it's pretty obvious that she's bisexual.
"Okay okay, your turn. What about her?" Emi giggles.
A girl walks in, who I'm guessing is that new girl as I know everyone in this school and I don't recognise her.
She has pretty blue hair, a grey hoodie pulled over her head and matching grey sweatpants.I try to get a peek at her face but can't see under her hood.
"Basic" I shrug to Emilie, brushing off the fact that I'm awfully curious to find out who this girl is.
The bell rings.
Me and Emi hug and wave goodbye as we have different classes.
I head to English and take a seat.
I immediately put in my AirPods, completely oblivious to what the teachers saying.
I put my foot up on my chair and fiddle with my shoelaces, focusing on the music passing through my ears, until I see a pencil rolling on the floor out of the corner of my eye.
I pick it up and look around to see who it belongs to.
"Sorry." The girl behind me whispers, leaning over me, allowing me to get a whiff of her sweet vanilla-scented perfume.
I turn around so that I'm facing her.
I just stop and stare at her for a split second to examine her, blue hair, a grey hoodie with matching sweatpants.
The girl from earlier.
Finally, I take a look at her face, she's beautiful.
Her face is completely symmetrical, other than a couple of hairs at the front of one eyebrow, her eyes are a translucent blue that gleams in the light, and her plump lips curl up to reveal her perfectly straight, pearly teeth.
I snap back into reality and quickly gesture the pencil towards her.
"Here," I whisper, mesmerised by the sight of her, she's really really pretty.
She smiles at me as she takes the pencil.
"Miss Maven what did I say about talking to your friends in class? This is your second warning and Miss O'Connell this is your first warning."
"God dammit why you gotta be so annoying?" I moan.
"Excuse me? Keep that attitude and you'll be having detention after school."
"Fuck off man."
"Ay if she's getting detention I deserve it just as much" Billie steps in.
"Fine the both of you, detention after school."
