Kenny is in the building meeting his grandfather. Kenny greets him but his grandfather doesn't seem too surprised. Kenny explains how how his family is doing after they split from the group during the Military Police Purge of their Clan as well as the Asians that stayed with them. Adding how he recently lost and found Kuchel only to learn of her child she had with a client. His grandfather didnt seem to care as he was on deaths door regardless. His grandfather had left before the purge... he seems to know something as his face doesn't seem shocked by the events. Kenny asked why the Military Police massacred them when they have done nothing wrong. His grandfather elaborates nonchalantly after remarking on his own grandson being the terror of the Capital known as "Kenny The Ripper".
His grandfather explains that his generation was the first born after humanity moved into the walls so he doesn't know much and also due to the fact his father's generation didn't pass down humanity's lost history. He acknowledged Kenny's knowledge of the fact that the Ackerman use to be the Crown's sword and shield as a Warrior clan but were brought to the brink of extinction because the minority races, Ackerman and Asian Clans who did not fully conform... also the they posed a threat in that they couldn't be controlled which was especially dangerous in regards to the Ackermans as they were strong and capable of resisting the power of the monarch at will although not immune to the influence. This is why the Royal family feared them, they did not hate them despite some being against the King of the Wall's Philosophy of an ignorant population. The head of his grandfather's family had given his life in order for the Ackermans to be absolved but as recent events show that was all pointless.
The Population is mostly comprised of a group of people with the same race as the king as he surmised while other groups were different in some ways or just completely. Kenny's doting grandfather has become more pessimistic in his old age and had hoped to take the secret to the grave but that doesn't matter much when there is only 3 members of the Ackerman he knows of that are alive other than himself for the time being. Kenny seems to understand but was hard pressed to believe that the monarch had the power of the Titans at their disposal but decided to take it as fact as it will make it fun for him at least as he gains justification for going after the Royal Family a true test of his strength against the alleged Godlike Power.
Kenny is about to leave after meeting his grandfather. Walter Lieberman is on the rooftop with Captain of the Squad of Scouts is Beaufort Steinmetz and Captain of the Interior Police Delara Heins. The Interior Police are down the alleyway Kenny is facing and are aiming at the door way between the streets and the Alleyway. The Scouts take aim but notice green smoke escaping the house and a canister is thrown to spread more smoke. Beaufort realizes the smoke is the same smoke the Scouts and Garrison use in their Signal Guns.
