Science Behind your Mindset and New Year's Resolutions
New Year's resolutions matter, as well as your mindset. New Year's resolutions
shouldn't be something that is super huge or something that you cannot complete. If you have a New Year's resolution that is huge, you might want to consider changing it. Mindset is also very important. Mindset is what we think and what we think of everyone else, whether we think they're smart or dumb, or just need more learning. I have some ideas and techniques for New Year's resolutions and each specific mindset.

A New Year's resolution is something a lot of adults (and even a few children) make on New Year's Eve or New Year's day. These are promises and things to stick to made for the new year. Some resolutions are big and some are small. I prefer sticking to the smaller resolutions, given some can't be finished. The smaller ones are easier to stick to. In The Science of Keeping New Year's Resolutions it states, "tiny goals can be anything from practicing an instrument for 30 seconds per day to flossing just one tooth..." This is true and it's called the "tiny habits" trick that a Stanford Professor developed.

There are two types of mindsets, fixed and growth. Fixed mindsets are more fixed onto the thought of everyone being either smart, or dumb. People with this mindset could look at someone and say they are smart or they are dumb, no in between. With the growth mindset, however, someone can say they need more learning, or teaching.

Unlike the fixed mindset, people with this mindset can usually look at someone and say that they just need to learn a bit more. The fixed mindset is completely the opposite than the growth mindset. People with the growth mindset seem to think more on the 'we can do this, we just need a bit more experience. People with the fixed mindset think on the lines of 'I can't do this so I must be stupid' or the lines of 'I finished so early, everyone else is much dumber than me.' They also tend to think their brains cannot grow.

In conclusion, mindsets and New Year's resolutions are very important. There's many categories they can both be put into, but we only see them in the thing they are: important to us.
