What time was it? Who knew? She groaned as she awoke, turning herself over to her side and grasping her phone, annoyed. She had been losing her patience easily these days, but Who knew why? Suitcase squinted at the bright light of her phone, stinging her eyes as she tapped the faintly visible "dismiss" button on her phone screen. Once her vision had adjusted to the bright light, she checked the time. It was the typical time she woke up at so there was no use in checking. She mumbled to herself. "That was a waste of 15 seconds..." She sat up and put a pair of slippers on before leaving the room and going down to the first floor for breakfast. She went into the kitchen, lazily making herself a bowl of cereal and looking up at the lobby. Of course, there were few people downstairs because of how early it was but she noticed Balloon and his boyfriend Silver Spoon, which furthered her annoyance a bit. She sat down at a table where Paintbrush was sitting, eating some eggs they had prepared for themselves. She began eating and Paintbrush looked up at her.

[First person/Suitcases POV]

"Good morning." I hummed a reply, not wanting to speak because there was food in my mouth and partly because I just wanted some peace and quiet since I was tired and wanted to go back to bed. After a bit, I had to hear their voice again. "...how's your morning?" I looked up from my cereal and spoke bluntly, already agitated. "It's been fine." They replied, for some weird reason it felt like forks being scraped on a plate having to listen to them. "That's nice! Mine's been good." I didn't respond, instead going back to eating. Thoughts started to run through my head why had I been so rude? Why are you so mad? What's going on with me? Why am I acting like this? Their voice scraped my ears yet again "...suitcase?" I looked up and hummed in confusion "...you okay there...? You looked uh...stressed." I replied "I'm fine, thanks." "...okay." they mumbled, going back to eating the breakfast they had made for themself. I went back to eating as well and an awkward feeling loomed in the air. They spoke up yet again, their voice like nails on a chalkboard right next to my ears. "...did you dream about anything?" "No." "Oh." They tapped their fork on their plate, resting their cheek in their hand. I asked "did you?" "Nope." "Hm." It was as if it was the most boring day in the world. Nothing special except for my thoughts. As they opened their mouth to speak I just wanted to cover my ears, not having to listen to that agitating voice that tugged at my patience. "...ha-" I cut them off "stop." They looked at me, puzzled. "What?" "Just stop." "...talking?" "Yes." Silence stung the air. "...why?" "Just quit talking." They shut their mouth, finally. Finally. And both of us went back to eating.

[Third person]

After a while, suitcase had gotten up and taken her bowl to the kitchen. She set it down in the sink and waved to soap, who was cleaning the counter. She waved back and suitcase left, retreating to her room to get dressed for the day. She entered her room, changing into a golden sweater, rolling the sleeves up and puffing the ends out and some sweatpants. She thought it would be nice to go ahead and take a walk, putting on some shoes and leaving the room, bumping into baseball. Baseball greeted her, giving her a small wave "hey suitcase!" She smiled a bit and greeted him back "hey, baseball." He came up next to her, which made her smile fade, not wanting to be chatted with. "So, how's your day been?" "Decent." "Oh uh...okay!" I waited for him to speak up, expecting him to. But he didn't. Thankfully, He got the memo. That was nice. But the awkward feeling loomed in the air again, but baseball didn't disrupt it. Just walked. She was glad he realized she didn't want to talk. She made it to the door when nickel noticed, coming up to her, curious. "Where are you going?" She took a breath, having that same feeling that she had when she was talking to paintbrush. "...the creek. Why?" She spoke in a rude tone. "I was just curious? No need to be so rude about it, jesus..." he walked off and suitcase left the hotel. She soon enough got to the forest that was behind the hotel and paused. Looking in the forest for a second. She kept walking. The trail to the creek was muddy for some reason. Who knew why? She kept walking, though a bit confused. It hadn't rained since Wednesday and it was friday. She made it to the creek and looked behind her. The trail was dry now...what was going on with her? She got a weird feeling of anxiety over her. She took a breath and sat on a rock and looked at the water when she felt some weird chill on her arms, but nowhere else. It was weird. But she brushed it off. She looked down to the water and it ran black. Not black water, just black goo with small symbols of laughter, but no noise. She thought to herself "shit" she stood up quickly and backed away from the creek, tripping over a rock that was behind her and then she was just sitting on the rock again. As if nothing had happened.

Later, when she got back to the hotel, she was confused to see trophy jogging laps around the hotel, supposedly working out or something

Later, when she got back to the hotel, she was confused to see trophy jogging laps around the hotel, supposedly working out or something. She entered the hotel and ran into Balloon, it was a pleasant surprise.

[First person/Suitcase POV]

I walked up to Balloon, who was with Silver Spoon. Again. I forced a smile on my face and waved, speaking up. "Hey balloon!" Balloon smiled and replied "hi suitcase! How's your day been?" "It's been good, thanks." After a bit of small talk Balloon changed the topic. "Uh, suitcase I'm sorry but I have to go. I promised Silver I would bring him some food. I kept the smile on my face, speaking in a polite tone. "Oh, it's okay, go ahead!" He smiled and waved goodbye and my smile faded into an annoyed look. God I hated Silver Spoon. Silver spoon got more attention than I did ever since he started dating balloon. I'm Balloons friend. Not him. I kept walking, going up to my room. I laid on the bed, bored. I began thinking, but nothing was coming up. Jealousy stung my thoughts suddenly while I thought about Silver Spoon but I hated it. I hated being jealous of people. It felt cruel. I hated it.
