What if they heard the 'Monsters?'
If the characters on Maple Street had heard what the so-called 'monsters' were saying at the end of the screenplay they probably, and most likely, would've felt very foolish. Mostly for blaming one another, pointing blame, and trying to find a scapegoat to get out of it. If they had heard these 'monsters,' they probably would've felt like they were in an escape room sort of situation. Where they would feel like they were trapped in a box, and needed to throw off one another, like a reality show. It would make them look and feel really foolish back in the 1960's. They probably would be really upset or infuriated when they heard the 'monsters' voices because they thought as though everything was real, when in reality, nothing was at that point. They wouldn't be able to tell what was real or fake. If it was just them thinking the voices were just in their heads, and no one else could hear the voices.
