What Does Sacrifice Actually Mean?
In ancient times, many people and animals were used as sacrifices to the Gods. These types of rituals were used to please the Gods. It was good to please the Gods, or else it was thought they would try and hurt the ancient humans. A sacrifice can be either good or bad. In ancient times, it was a way to please Gods, and not get hurt by any of the Gods. It can be very bad to sacrifice someone, as well. If someone just murdered someone else, while it is a sacrifice, it is not the voluntary type of sacrifice. In my opinion, sacrifice is to murder or risk someone to a God, like in ancient times. Sacrifice is something that is supposed to be a voluntary act, not an innvoluntary act, such as murder.
