Y/n's POV

I hate that they were keeping this information about Sakura and Naruto from me, does Naruto even know what Sai, Sakura and Yamato knows?.

I couldn't stop thinking about it as we all walked, maybe it was because I know that Naruto liked Sakura, maybe it's because she actually has a chance of stealing him from me.

I looked at Sakura who had been quiet since what Sai brought up, walking in tone with everyone else, maybe I'm just being insecure and there's nothing going on, Sakura wouldn't do anything, right?.

"Y/n" Yamato said after he grabbed my shoulders and shook me out of my head

"Huh?" I asked looking up at him in confusion

"You have been distracted for a while now and we're almost at the bridge, what's on your mind?" He asked me

I looked over to find Naruto staring at me worriedly, had Naruto been trying to get my attention too?.

"Nothing, I'm fine, sorry" I said to Yamato, looking back at him

Yamato looked over my face before sighing, he knew exactly where my mind was, he knew I was affected but what Sai said, or lack there of.

"There's no presence of anyone around the Tenchi bridge yet" Sai told us

"Well, I guess that rules out one thing, there's no Akatsuki ambush" Yamato said, facing everyone, letting me go finally

'Todays mission, don't let anyone get injured' I thought to myself

'Does that include you?' My mothers voice rang out in my head that has oddly became calm

'No, it doesn't' I thought back honestly

'Why not?' My mother asked me

I didn't have an answer to that, so I just didn't respond, listening to Yamato instructions, watching as Naruto held the picture of Sasori up for Yamato, watching as he transformed into Sasori.

"Woah that so cool, can you do that y/n-chan?" Naruto asked me

"If taught, maybe, I don't know wood release" I said honestly

"All right, if you're all ready, shall we begin the operation?" Yamato asked

"Hold it, your tone's too polite, try to sound-, oh I don't know, way more aggressive or something" Sakura said to Yamato

"Oh, yeah, you're right, I'm supposed to be cranky and irritable, and more than anything, I hate to be kept waiting" Yamato said before taking in the fully character

"We're starting the operation now?" Yamato said, sounding just like Sasori

"You nailed it, that's exactly what he sounds like" Naruto said with a grin

"Listen up, our opponents will be on on the alert so I want us to split up, we'll have to work as a team, especially you, Naruto" Yamato said which made Naruto look slightly offended

"No one makes a move before I give the signal, that includes you too, y/n" Yamato said looking at me

I hummed, knowing some shit was about to go down and that I'll probably move before the signal.

"I cannot agree to that, but I will try" I said with a nod

"Let's go" Yamato said, and we all jumped away, all separating from Yamato and going to a spot over looking the bridge

Sakura then moved forward which caused us to follow her, watching the bridge at a closer distance as we crouched down.

The wind blew like crazy, leaves flying over at us, some getting stuck in my hair, that Naruto picked out for me.
