The streets were loud as the two turtles, one blue and one purple, walked down the streets of New York. They kept their heads down and their hoods pulled up over their heads to try to avoid being seen. It was oddly quiet between the two brothers, usually Leo would've broken the silence by now but he remained quiet. They finally arrived at the skatepark where they saw a group of teenage boys. "So much for skating at an actual park." Donnie growled. "Aw man." The streets seemed to be extra loud today which Leo found overwhelming. The boys around the park paid no attention to the turtles, they had glass bottles. Leo was looking around, not paying much attention when one smashed a glass. Leo immediately covered his ears as tears began to form in his eyes.

"Hey, you okay?" Donnie looked at Leo, worried.

"It's too loud."

"Wanna go somewhere else?"

Leo nodded and kept his ears plugged, keeping his head down. Leo let Donnie lead the way as they walked, not really worrying about where they were going. There were a couple restaurants nearby and the smell burned Leo's noise and he began to become painfully aware of the hoodie he was wearing. They entered an alleyway and Donnie stopped, causing Leo to bump into him and quickly retreat. Donnie pulled both his own and Leo's hoodies down and activated the noise cancelling setting on his headphones before placing them on Leo's head.

"Thank you." Leo kept his head down and began to pull at the sweater.

"Are you overstimulated?"
Leo didn't say anything but just nodded.

"Want to go home?"

Leo nodded again. He didn't really feel like talking if he didn't have to, he hesitantly pulled his hood up over his head, hating the feeling of it. Leo grabbed Donnie's hand, it being the only thing he could currently tolerate touching. Donnie pulled back up his hood and led Leo out of the alleyway, looking for a manhole. A person passing by brushed against Leo's arm, giving him a sense of discomfort as he stepped closer to Donnie, trying to keep away from people. Donnie began walking again and Leo followed close to him.

Usually Donnie preferred not to be touched but he didn't mind if Leo needed it. Leo doesn't get overstimulated very often but when he does, he usually prefers to hold onto one of his brothers. Leo never understood why, but anything else touching him would be bothersome but he could always tolerate his brothers touching him, preferably his hands.

Leo eyed several manholes as Donnie passed by them, trying to find one with no people around. Leo struggled to keep his breathing steady as he tried not to cry. "Here" Donnie pulled Leo into another alleyway and let go of his hand as he pulled up the manhole cover. "You can go first." Leo quietly climbed down the manhole and immediately took off the hoodie as soon as he touched the ground. Donnie followed down a couple moments later, pulling his hood down. Leo grabbed onto his hand again and kept quiet as they walked along the sewers, on their way to the lair. Leo felt calmer now that he was away from the overly crowded streets of New York City but the sound of the water was getting to him.

Once they returned to the lair, Leo went straight to his room and laid down in bed as Donnie sat down in a seat nearby.

"Would you rather me stay or leave?"
"Stay."

"Okay."

Leo took off the headphones/goggles and held them out towards Donnie.

"Thanks." Donnie grabbed them and put them on again.

"Thank you for letting me borrow them."

"No problem."
