"Khala don't worry I have asked Ahad to come." Nadia assured her aunt, who relaxed but, the clowns on her either side didn't look pleased. She suppressed her smile as they gave her wounded looks.
"Umair and Uzair go get ready before bhai comes." Laiba ushered her twins who were visibly sulking. But they can't just miss a class test right?
Somehow their van didn't come to pick them up and there were no cars at home, as most of the family was not at home. Laraib had asked Nadia to help and she did, which threw water on Umair and Uzair's plan.
"Api acha nahi kiya apne." [You didn't do right.] Uzair said, making his twin nod. Nadia giggled.
"Bus wale ko mana kar diya tha tumne jake bataun Khala ko?"[You guys asked the bus driver to not come, should I tell your mom this?] It was such a treat to see them horrified as their little secret was out.
"Go get ready and don't dare think about pulling another stunt." She pinched their cheeks making the two groan.
________
"You are seriously so cruel Nadia." Ahad said, remembering the disappointed and down faces of the twin. He had just dropped the two and was now heading to their office.
"Those two have learnt from you." Nadia said, giving him a side eye.
"Now when did I teach them to bunk classes by asking the van driver to not come? This is their og idea." Nadia glared at him, he seemed to be greatly impressed and amused .
"Breakfast to nahi kiya hoga?" He asked.[You haven't had your breakfast right?]
"Nope. I am not hungry."
"This is a really bad habit, you know."
"I do." Nadia faced the window, trying to hide her smile. But suddenly something passed in her mind. This was not the first time she had pondered upon this topic. The only conclusion she came upon was that she needed to mind her own business and also try to tame down her feelings.
