- This story was rewritten. The rewrite started on March 30th, 2024 and finished on November 10th, 2024. The goal was to more closely match the quality of my earlier chapters with my later chapters.

"I calmly lay on a large grassy as a light breeze blows the grass to and fro. I stare blankly into the light blue sky as I hear someone approach me. I remain stationary, not moving even as a senior Asian man with a long white beard walks up to me, standing over me with an amused smirk on his face"
Old Man
Aren't you dark enough already? If you lay in the sun any longer you may start to blend in with the ground underneath you.
Me
(Pushes my glasses up on the ridge of my nose) And what is that supposed to mean, Sensei?
Sensei
It means you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself. What are you doing out here anyway?
Me
(Sits up straight) I just don't get it man. Why am I so bad at Storm?
Sensei
(Strokes his beard as he looks at the ground) Hmm...do you want my honest opinion?
Me
Yes. Please.
Sensei
The reason you're so bad at Storm is...because you aren't good at it.
"I look up at Sensei's grinning face with a blank expression on my face"
Me
(Sarcastically) Wow, thanks for the insight.
Sensei
You know, despite your recent failure, I do think that you possess great potential.
Me
Potential for what? Another 10 game losing streak?
Sensei
Only if you keep choosing to fight Max rank opponents. I mean, you only started playing last week, of course you wouldn't be able to beat players of that caliber.
Me
Didn't you say you beat players of that caliber the first time you played Storm?
