The story begins right in the middle of the jungle, where the village of the Pupanunu tribe lived.
In this tribe was the hero of the Pupanunu People himself - Tak, a young shaman.
A while ago, An ancient prophecy foretold that the Moon Juju, the kind protector of the Pupanunu people, would be weakened by the evil Traloc, an embittered Pupanunu shaman, so he could turn the Pupanunu people into sheep as revenge for not being made high shaman in favor of another shaman, Jibolba. The prophecy also mentions a great and mighty warrior trained by the high shaman who would restore the Moon Juju, defeat Traloc, and bring peace to the Pupanunu people.
That warrior was of course, Tak, who defeated Traloc, turned him into a sheep, and fulfilled the Pupanunu People Prophecy.
And sometime after another adventure involving the dream world, including a powerful weapon called 'The Staff of Dreams', Tak was now a mighty and powerful shaman.
Right now, he was running to his mentor, the elder shaman Jibolba.
"Tak!" cried Jibolba. "You're late!"
"Sorry," panted Tak. "I've just been trying out some combat with my new Juju staff. It's been so brilliant! I..."
It was then he noticed something odd - there was thick grey smoke filling the air. He inhaled it, and immediately started coughing - the smoke was very foul indeed.
"Gross!" he exclaimed through coughing.
"I know." Jibolba said, "but that temple is the one that caused it."
Tak looked at where Jibolba was pointing, and they saw a huge building in a valley just a distance from the village.
"Whoa." said Tak. "I've never seen a Juju temple like that before."
Indeed. The 'temple' looked like a big metal factory, with huge smokestacks in the roof [which it really was]. Smoke was billowing out from them,
"It just appeared out of nowhere last night." Jibolba said. "Also," he added, "nearly all of the people in the village have disappeared!"
"What?" said a confused Tak. "What do you mean, Jibolba?"
Suddenly, a letter appeared out of nowhere, right next to Tak. "Hey, look at this, Jibolba!" he said, showing Jibolba the letter.
"A letter?" said Jibolba. "Who's it from?"
Tak read out what was on the letter;
"Dear Tak, hero of the Pupanunu People, if you're reading this message, I'm in terrible danger. The evil shaman Traloc is back, and he and his servants Pins and Needles have captured me, and loads of other Jujus, and with the help of something called 'The Syndicate', he is now taking over your world as we speak. He seems to be using me and the other Jujus' power for something... evil, and it seems to be coming from the strange temple that you and Jibolba have now witnessed. I am using the last drops of the power I have left to send you this message that you are reading now. Please Tak, I need your help. Signed, The Moon Juju."
"That's not good, is it Jibolba?" Tak asked.
"Certainly not." Jibolba said. "If Traloc's returned, this could mean disaster for us all."
Suddenly, a green portal appeared out of nowhere, and out came a robotic dog.
"Sweet chicken jiblets!" Exclaimed Jibolba. "I've never seen a Juju quite like that before!"
"Don't worry," said Tak, "I'll deal with this." He went up to the robotic dog 'JuJu', which opened up what looked like a screen. The screen flickered, and on the screen showed a big-headed boy wearing a red shirt with a yellow atom on it, with brown hair looking like the tip of a soft serve ice cream cone.
"Are you reading me, hero of the Pupanunu People's Prophecy?" said the boy.
"Uhh, I'm reading you, Mr Juju." Tak said, quite confused at what was going on. "My name's Tak by the way."
"Tak." said the boy. "That sounds a simple name."
"Are you a juju?" Tak asked.
"Oh, I'm not a Juju." said the boy. "My name's Jimmy Neutron. Of course, my full name is James Issac Neutron, but usually only my mom calls me that. And even then, only when she's really, REALLY upset and/or angry with me."
"Right." said Tak. "What is this thing you're seeing me on?"
"I'm transmitting a message via my robotic dog, Goddard." said Jimmy. "It's so I can communicate with you. We need you to help us with an important mission of dire importance, and it also involves your world."
"It does?" Tak said, amazed. "Well, count me in!"
"Good." said Jimmy. "Follow my dog through the portal and he'll lead you to me. I'll explain as soon as you're in my lab."
"Tak!" called Jibolba, "Go with that funny-looking Juju! I'll be fine."
"Uh, ok." Tak said. "I guess I'll see you soon, Jibolba."
He followed Goddard through the portal.
The next thing Tak knew, he found himself in a very strange area.
"Have I ended up in the dream world?" he wondered.
"This is no dream!" said a weird voice. "If it is, my nickel Philip will want to meet yooooou!"
"Cosmo!" another voice scolded, "stop being spooky in front of him! We're gonna need his help to stop Crocker!"
"Crocker?" Tak said. "Is that a name for a crocodile?"
"no." stated a tall white-haired figure wearing a black jumpsuit with white gloves and boots. "But you must be this 'Tak' that Jimmy Neutron was talking about."
"Tak?" said a young blue-eyed boy with brown hair wearing a pink hat, pink shirt, and blue pants connecting to his feet. "Is that the name for an exchange student in my school?"
"No, Timmy." said Jimmy Neutron. "Tak comes from a different world - he's the hero of an ancient tribe called the 'Pupanunu People'."
"Pupanunu?" said Cosmo. "My great uncle had a name like that!"
Ignoring what was going on, Jimmy was typing some coordinates onto a screen.
"Now," he said, "we just need the last member of our team to help us, and we'll be ready."
He circulated the scans into the Pacific Ocean, and soon, centered onto one spot - Bikini Bottom.
