WOLFRIVER COVE

Chapter Twenty Three

The bonding ceremony went according to planned. Every wolf and human in Wolfriver Cove attended. They had it in the center of Wolfriver.  White lights were strug up through the trees given off a soft glow. All wolves wore the custom black pants and shirt, no shoes. While the humans dressed in their finest. Ziggy stood beside Teagan and Tytus and Audrey on the other side of him. Up close to the inner circle where they got a close look at the Alpha and Luna as they did the ritual. In order the fire to bring them closer together into the ring. The blood oath that connect them together. And the kiss that sealed their agreement.

Before the end of the ceremony, Ziggy pulls Teagan into his side. "All wolves except for the Alpha and Luna will shift at the end," he tells her in a whisper

"Ok," she said she still wasn't sure she believed all this stuff.

"I'm telling you this so you don't get scared," he tells her

"I won't," she says. He caresses her hip. Her attention goes back to Zinnia and Gunner.

"I give you Alpha and Luna Gunner Sullivan," the high priest announced.

Tytus takes Teagans hand in his as the wolves around shift, including Ziggy. Teagan steps back. "we can't brake the circle," Tytus tells her as all the wolves howl out. Even some of the humans join in.

"This is a nightmare," she says

"Just breathe," he tells her. "They are not going to hurt you."

"And my best friend just married one of them," she says

"Trust me, it's not something I am too happy about, but it is what she wants," Tytus tells her

As the wolves shift again, Teagan jumps. Her eyes go to Ziggy. "Oh gess, you're naked," she says, covering her eyes

He laughs. "I can really tell you and Zin are best friends."

"Wait, Zin saw you naked," she asked, removing her hands from her face

Ziggy pulls on the loose jeans he brought with him for tonight "Yes its not uncommon around here, sweetheart," he says

"I don't know how I feel about this," Teagan says

"Zinnia was the same way. We'll give you time," Ziggy tells her. "For now, we party."

"Where is Zin going?" Teagan asked

Ziggy asked. "They must complete the bond," he tells her

Gunner hand holds tight to Zinnia's as they make their way up to the house. He could hear her heart pounding. 'She's scared,' Rune says

'It is her first time,' Gunner reminds him.

'She has been so nervous all throughout the ceremony,' Rune says

'I felt it as will,' Gunner says

Gunner wears a white shirt and white pants while Zinnia has on a long blue silk dress. It touched the ground like a wedding dress almost. It had a deep v neck showing off the top of her breast. And a split on both sides cleaned up to her hips. She looked absolutely gorgeous, her hair pinned back with blue and white flowers. No shoes, either one of them wore them. She was offered some, but she told the lady she didn't want any if he was going barefoot, so was she.

As they get to the house, Gunner truns to her lift her up into his arms bridal style. He carries her in and up the stairs to his room.

"You ready for this?" he asks as he lays her down.

"Yes," she whispers

His own fear is trying to make its way up.
'Mark her,' Rune says

'Not yet,' he tells him
