The fear of change.

The fear of aging.

The fear of eternity.

The fear of death.

The fear of loss.

The fear of the future.

Each of these fears had its own devils, and many were embodied by the same demon as humans classified them as the same fear.

But what was scary in all of those?

Time.

That there would be a moment where all these would manifest.

Time never stops, cruel and frightening, always looming in missed opportunities, in deaths too young, in the body shutting down.

Time was the greatest enemy of all living things.

Time moved with its own never ending pace and undefinable.

And here was a young soul born of the fear of deceit, to fear of tricked out of things and the loss of trust, ready to singlehandedly stand in the way of time for as long as she had some herself.

"You are not touching my human, you'll have to get through me for that." Sho pushed up her sleeves.

"They always say the same thing."

With his sigh, a heavy weight dropped on her shoulders, like the air itself was pushing her down.

Sho put a hand on the ground, down on one knee, glaring with a snarl on her face, the concrete underneath her was even crackling from the weight.

"It will take--" She pushed up on her legs, taking a moment but she ran from her spot. "-more then that!"

"Ah yes." He punch was stopped but a single finger stopped it, not the shockwave of it tho, the impact sent burst of wind out, throwing display stands away from in front of their shops, people flying, even cars screeching across the ground. Sho looked in shock even if she shouldn't have been surprised. "You'll be a pesky one."

The finger flicked her wrist, a hole blasted through it before bloody chunks exploded outward, flinging her away with the strength behind it.

She found herself stopped by the side of a building, her back cleaving a large crater out of it.

Sho hissed, grabbing her upper arm, only a few measly stripe of flesh testified about her having once had an arm there.

She threw it out, sprouting another as she pulled herself out.

"Blood: spear!" The blood gathering in a spear that she hurdled at the old man that was slowly walking.

He swatted it out of the air.

Blocking her kick with a backhand slap into her chin, shattering the bone before flicking her down into the ground, creating an explosion of dust.

"Aren't you a crafty one." The old man simply referred to as time said, fixing the beret Sho had knocked off his head, most never even got close enough to do that. "But not enough."

She stretched out her broken body, pulling herself up coughing.

"I'll show you crafty." She aimed up her finger, pointing at him. "Conquest: bang!"

A hole was blown into a building as he had moved.

She felt like he had teleported, he moved so fast, his palm striking her in the chest, her body blowing a hole into itself, that's what it looked like to any outsider, a gaping hole through the chest cavity big enough to fit a soccer ball before the wind currents that followed sent her flying.
