"Ana!" Mrs. Lee yelled and Ana closed her eyes, she knew what was coming. She closed her tablet and went out.

"Yes Mom." she said tired.

"What am I hearing?" she glared at her, Ana looked at her little brother Noir, who was smirking at her.

"What did he say this time?" she asked looking at her mom.

"You didn't give him the sandwiches you made? Also, you didn't help him with his holiday homework when he asked you nicely. What is wrong with you?" her mom jerked her.

"That's because he refused to help me in making those also he didn't want me to help him with his holiday homework, he wanted me to do it in his stead!" Ana clenched her fists.

"That's what family is for, you are the elder sister, you need to be more responsible and kind to him, younger siblings are careless. You need to be a good role model for him, he will learn from you!" Her mom scolded her.

"NO! I WILL NOT DO IT! I AM NOT HIS SERVANT, I HATE HIM! YOU JUST LOVE HIM! I AM NO ONE TO YOU! I HATE THIS FAMILY, ALL WHAT YOU ALL SEE IS NOIR DID THIS, NOIR SAID THAT! I AM INVISIBLE! I HATE YOU MOM-" her mom slapped her 8-year-old daughter.

"STOP BEING UNGRATEFUL, I THINK YOU ARE INSANE! NOBODY LIKES YOU BECAUSE OF YOUR BRATTY ATTITUDE! I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING! GIVE HIM A PART OF YOUR SANDWICHES AND HELP HIM WITH HIS HOLIDAY HOMEWORK OR YOU ARE NOT GETTING THE POCKET MONEY!" she said and Ana glared at her mom.

"NO! I WILL NOT DO IT, I AM LEAVING THIS HOUSE!" she ran out.

"SURE, I HOPE YOU NEVER RETURN AND JUST DIE BENEATH A CAR! YOU ARE SUCH AN INSOLENT KID!" her mom scoffed.

"Hana, what has gotten into you? Who curses at their child like that? I can't even think of any of my kids dying. She is just a kid, get a hold of yourself." Hana's mom scolded her daughter.

"Mom, you don't understand, she is getting stubborn day by day, I can't take this headache, I will just send her to boarding school. They will beat her and treat her harshly and she will realize who loved her more." she huffed.

"She is just 8, you can't be this cruel, leave her on me. I will take care of her, you don't know how to handle kids, it would have been better had you been a mother to no one instead of cursing your child!" Mina, Ana's grandmother glared at her daughter before weakly walking out to reach for her dearest granddaughter.

"Nobody understands my situation, it's hard to be a working mom!" Hana said disappointed.

"Then quit your job, who is asking you to earn? You are just too irresponsible to take care of my kids and house, bloody feminist!" Ana's dad scoffed working on his laptop.

They started with a fight again and Noir rolled his eyes before running to Ana's room and eating the sandwiches Ana had made for herself. He messed up her room and laughed before going out. He knew his mother would not let anyone scold him, he was the youngest child and her favourite one.

Ana cried running to the abandoned mansion at the very end of her lane. It was a scary place for other people but Ana found comfort in that place more than her home. She loved the silence and warmth it carried.

She sat under the tree and wept. She hated how her mom wanted her to be perfect, someone who was altruistic and always remained in everyone's good books.

She didn't care about her mental health when she set unrealistic standards for her to live up to because according to her she was perfect so Ana needed to be like that too.
