Chapter 2: a chiling child

The Morningstar family finally arrive at the hospital as Niko slowly starts to wake up for their nap, Niko rubs his eyes and sees the sun beaming Through the windows of the car causing Niko to groan as he looks away from the blaring sun, Niko yawns as he gets out of the car and follows behind his family heading into the hospital to see their mother and new brother. Once Niko, Crim, Grace and Rose enter Lucifer shuts the door behind Rose as Niko walks up to his mother Rei and baby Zach "hello mom!" Niko says with a gentle and friendly smile as he then looks at Zach "is this my brother?" Niko says looking back up at his mother. Rei smiles and nods gently  "yep, it is!" Niko giggles as she looks back at Crim, Rose and Grace then back at the his mother and Zach, "can I hold him.?" Niko asks tilting his head gently to the left looking up and down from Rei to Zach. Rei looks at Lucifer waiting for approval, Lucifer gives a nod with a warm smile as Rei turns to back to Niko signaling him to sit down, Niko sits down on the chair next to the hospital bed as Rei gently lays Zach into Nikos arms.
As Niko holds Her brother Zach begins to get cold Niko looks up at Rei "mom...Zach is overly cold.." Rei turns to Niko and takes Zach as Niko stands next to Crim giving his mom space. The room grows cold as Niko goes face first into his father trying to stay warm, Lucifer wraps his arms around Niko as suddenly cold fresh ice surrounds the family, Niko looks up from Lucifer's stomach and the room is slowly getting filled with ice. Rei lifts up Zach trying to protect him as the room finally stops getting filled with ice s giant spike inpales Rei, Niko runs to his mom she grabs Zach and puts his forehead to Rei's forehead gently sobbing "mom...." Niko gets pulls away from Grace who is also crying "it's ok Niko. Let's go." Grace says to Niko, As Niko looks around to his family Crim is practically on fire from how angry she is "WHY WOULD YOU GRAB THAT MONSTER?!" Crim yells at Niko. Grace grabs Zach from Niko knowing both Crim and Niko can be very hotheaded, "HES OUR BROTHER CRIM WHY WOULDNT I?!" Crim growls "HE FUCKING KILLED OUR MOTHER" Crim tears up but refuses to break "LET HIM DIE FOR FUCK SAKE!" Niko straightens his back and stares down Crim seeing Lucifer in the corner shaking his head, "HES OUR BROTHER, PLUS HES A BABY HE CANT CONTR-" Crim punches Niko in the face "shut the fuck up." Crim says and pushes open the door to leave.
Lucifer runs to Niko and grace signaling grace to go into the car with Rose and Zach "are you ok my child?" Niko looks away from Lucifer to look at Rei's cold and bloody dead body, "I'm fine..." Niko looks back at Lucifer and stands up brushing her self off. "I'm fine." Lucifer frowns watching Niko as he whipes his bloody nose with his hand. 'Niko is only 5..he's already gone through so much.. my poor children.."  Niko and Lucifer get into the car, Grace is sitting in the middle to stop from Crim and Niko from fighting on the way home.
