Taya looks at her new School, Edgewood High.
Her mother and herself have been in Nebraskan for Taya's whole life and its been exactly three years since Justin, Taya's father died from an car accident.
Taya sighs and smiles.
She walks around.
Taya: Hold It together Taya... You can do this..
She already sees other kids looking at her, due to the fact that one of her eyes is yellow and other is blue.
Taya sighs.
She doesn't realize that there is another girl infront of her till she bumps into her.
They both fall.
Taya: I am so sorry!
?: It's fine.
They both get up.
Taya notices that this girl is wearing boy clotheing.
Taya: What's your name?
Darby: Darby.
Taya: Im Taya.
They start talking till the bell for class rings.
Darby: Oh my Already? Do you know your class number?
Taya: B7? I think..
Darby: Well well thats my class, I'll show you the way.
Darby and Taya walk through the school and find room B7.
They both walk and Taya sees the teacher getting up.
Darby: Mrs. June this Taya, our newest student.
Mrs. June: You want me to put her in the empty spot next to where you and your four friends sit?
Darby: Sure!
Darby shows Taya where she is going to sit.
Taya sits down and so does Darby.
Darby waves to Andy, her adopted brother as he walks in.
Andy: New kid?
Darby: Yes brother.
Taya looks confused.
Taya: Im guessing he's adopted because your both different skin colors.
Andy: Yeah.. My parents were taken from me when I was six.. I never saw them since.
Taya: I see.
Andy hears 3 other Voices.
Andy: I hear the others.
A brown haired boy, a light brown haired girl and black haired girl all walk in at the same time.
Andy: Hey Marcus! Veda and Lennox!
Marcus: Let me guess, your going to say we have a new kid?
Andy: Yeah...
Andy sits down, so do the other three.
The rest of the students walk in while Mrs. June writes new student on the chalkboard.
Mrs. June: Welcome class, today we have a new student.
Mrs. June: Will our new student, please like to introduce themselves.
Taya stands up.
Taya: My name is Taya Jackman, I lived In Nebraska my whole life. My mother believes that coming to this high school after my dad died will help me with my mental state.
Mrs. June: Thank you Taya, now any questions for our new student?
Andy raises his hand almost instantly after she said that.
Mrs. June: Go right ahead Andy.
Andy clears his throat.
Andy: Why is one of you're eyes blue while the other is yellow.
Taya gets scared, she knows people hate her kind.
You see Taya is a subspecies of human known as a Spiritwalker, a human who can see and talk to ghosts.
Taya: I have a rare disorder that makes me look like this, and I personally don't like talking about It
Andy: I understand..
Mrs. June: Alright class, please take out your books and turn to page three. Taya I'll let you catch up.
Taya takes out her book underneath her desk and turns to page one.
After a while in class, the bell rings for lunch.
Taya and her class get up for lunch, while walking lennox taps Taya.
Lennox: Taya was it?
Taya: Yeah..?
Lennox: Mind sitting with us? We have something to ask.
Taya: Sure!
Taya didn't pay mind to what Lennox and her friends wanting to ask, yet.
She arrives in at the cafeteria, gets her food and starts ooking Around For Them.
She finds them and sits In an empty set.
Taya: So, what did you want to ask.
Taya eats her food.
Veda: So we have this website and also sort of jobs.
Taya: Okay..? And why are you telling me this.
Andy: Ever heard of Rabbitshunters.com?
Taya stops eating.
Taya: That's a ghost hunting website... and If that's the case..
She looks at all of them.
Taya: You.. Know what I am...
They all sigh.
Marcus: We didn't want to tell you at first because we know most of humanity hates your kind.
Darby: But all we ask is one thin-
Taya: I accept.
Andy spits out his drink.
Veda: You do?
Lennox: Even though we technically lied to you?
Taya: It wasn't really a lie, plus I understand why you didn't want to go full force on me.
Marcus: So your okay with joining the Jackrabbits?
Taya: Yes I am.
Marcus gives her a piece of paper.
Marcus: Can you write down your adress, so I can come pick you up?
Taya writes it down.
The bell rings for class.
Taya: Real quick what time!
Marcus: I go to the houses that nearest to my house first, so it depends.
Taya nods.
She starts walking to her next class.
Taya: I can't believe I get to be part of a Ghost Hunting!
