With his hands shoved in his pockets, shoulders slumped and skateboard under his arm, Killua shuffled through the thick end part of the forest.

Killua could easily sense the presence stalking him, and then the presence stalking Killua's stalker.

It all made Killua slightly irritated, he was expected to stay on this island for a week and he couldn't even get a decent opponent.

Feeling impatient, Killua stopped walking and announced loudly to his audience, "I know you've been following me since the exam started. Come on out, let's play.. "

Killua had to hide the slight hint of a smirk, sensing the the spike of nervousness in his stalker.

But he kept up the nonchalant pretense as he shrugged and continued walking.

Distantly, Killua wondered how Gon and the rest were keeping up.

He had to fight off a grimace as he imagined the creepy clown, mentally he cheered on Gon. Especially since Gon was taking the high road and just stealing the clown's badge.

Killua would've gone for the kill if he was in Gon's situation, but then again maybe he wouldn't have.

Even Killua could notice the deeper animosity behind the clown, something more dangerous behind the already dangerous exterior, and despite being a killer himself, perhaps Killua would've taken the high road too and just kill for three one-point badges.

Then his mind wondered to Yasumi, and irritation bubbled under his skin. This whole thing would've been so much easier for Killua if he had an idea of who his target was so he could immediately start tracking them but that cocky smirk on her face when she offered to help him with his target just made him pissed off.

At least she would've had an easier time getting her target, she probably already got her six points and the thought only made Killua's shoulders hunch even futhur and a scowl form on his face.

He would be perfectly fine finding his target by himself.

Killua didn't know why but there was a small part of him that wanted to impress Yasumi, make her surprised and-
He waved off the thought.

Killua knew Kurapika would've been perfectly fine, there was this calmness surrounding him, an endless self-assurance that even made Killua susceptible to trust whatever decision Kurapika made.

But perhaps Leorio would struggle, Killua knew about his pocket knife and could recognize the confidence in Leorio's control with it but the problem that Leorio was quick to doubt himself. But he was resourceful, Killua guessed that came with the medical skills.

His scowl deepened as he remembered the hag but even in his distaste for her, he could easily recognize the power in her strength and skill with her sword slung against her hip.

He didn't care what happened to her, but then he thought of Yasumi and very very slightly hoped Akaki would make it out just for Yasumi's sake.

The thought of seeing Yasumi sad, an expression so unlike her... Didn't sit right with Killua.

Akaki carefully rolled her injured shoulder, testing out the tightness of the fresh bandages. The ones she used had already soaked through with blood so Leorio took to assisting her, inspecting the injury and giving new bandages.

So far the Doctor hasn't seen a problem. But Akaki still pouted as the awful aftertaste of the medication Leorio gave still hadn't left her mouth.

Beside her, Leorio eyed the now dark sky, "It's completely dark now."
