Steven Otfnoski was born on January 11, 1949, in Queens, New York.

He was raised in Farmingdale, on long island and he was the eldest of 3 boys.

His father was a man named, "Anthony". Anthony was an insurance salesman, and he has a wife named, "Helen" who is Steven's mom.

When Steven was just ten years old, he and his family moved to his dad's hometown aka Middletown in Connecticut.

As an introspective boy, Steven spends his time reading books, watching T.V, and daydreaming. He also likes suspense and horror movies a lot at just an early age!

This would inspire the children fiction books he will write later in his adult age like for example, "The screaming Grave" and "The third arm and other strange tales of the Supernatural."

Steven also wrote comics, stories and poems throughout his childhood. When he began studying at a college in London, he kept a journal of his own and in that journal, he wrote down descriptions of places and people and his own thoughts and feelings of the life around him.

After he graduated back in the states, he got his first ever job as a writer for a newspaper that is now defunct called, "Hartford Times". He was a reporter and precise writing was the right training for him. However, soon Steven got tired of writing about town meetings and car accidents, so he quit after only a year.
