''Then it's a deal.''

"A deal?"

Sho grinned, more often than not, acknowledging her words made her the winning factor here but knowing who she was against, she couldn't ever be sure. Only time will tell.

As the last of the darkness dissipated, heavy rain broke through and fell on them.

"Typhoon? What is he doing here now?" She thought this was clearly not normal rain. "Yes." She lifted her arms slightly. "A deal."

"You think you can bargain with time?" The old man asked, letting her speak.

"I don't think I can bargain with time; I know I can."

"You sure are a special case; I have long not seen such an arrogant devil outside of the four horsemen."

"Confident, I prefer that."

"And even on the doors of death, you keep it up."

"Time, I am offering you a deal, a contract from the devil that sets its rules and laws. I could offer you things."

"And what would time need from a fleeting moment?"

"My time against hers."

"Sh--" "Stay out of this." She hissed at Himeno, who flinched back at the surprising harshness.

"This form of yours doesn't have much to offer." Time scoffed, not impressed.

"Does it not?"

"You are at the end of your time, too; you could die together."

"This form might die." She agreed, ever grinning. "But I am just a part of my true self, trapped in eternal agony in a place where nothing could exist, no time, no space, all know of the world between worlds, the nightmare of all devil. I escaped the void of being once. I can do it again, and every single time, I will hunt you down and fill your moments with your own agony."

"How cocky." Time said, but he could believe her because of who he was. He knew of several devils banished there, even if the contract devil was the newest sent there and only one anyone remembered anymore... But none had cracked the veil and found their way back, lost forever in nothing. He believed in her ability to break through once again.

"And if I die, I'll make sure to defy the odds, bringing this hate with me; each incarnation will hunt you down and despise you."

"Your time is not enough for hers."

"Oh, but it is." This is her domain; this is her game to play, and she played it nicely. Driving people in circles, annoying them, making her come up on top even if the result is her getting a lousy contract, people will always think they lost.

"You are crumbling, Contract devil; you might have minutes left."

"Minutes are worth an eternity for me." She dropped her arm finally before lifting one again. "But you are mistaken on one thing."

"And what might that be?"

"I am offering you my time, my time as a whole, this form and the trapped one. My time as the contract devil, my existence. I might be here, but as much as I am tethered to the earth, as much I am tethered to the rest of myself."

Both of them knew that fear would be no more if the devil were entirely destroyed by not existing anymore.

No humans would fear trickery and lies or deceit, devils would thrive with no rules and laws on contracts existing because of her being a thing, and history would be rewritten.

Only the passage of time and a con artist seemed aware of what was being offered.

"Your time." He looked from her to the human, Sho instantly shifting to block his gaze. "Against a mere human's." It was not a question, tho it should have been; Time seemed to have stopped, the moments not matching up.
