"No this is just a large mosquito bite." I said sarcastically, but Marie didn't laugh at my joke and my shoulders slumped in defeat. "Yes." I said bored.

"Is it.. are you going to keep it?" asked Marie, and I inhaled sharply. It was exactly the issue that had created a rift between Draco and me for the past weeks now. The issue that we still didn't resolve.

"It's complicated." I finally said as I briefly glanced at Draco. "It's not a normal pregnancy."

"You are coming with me, right now." Huffed Marie as she suddenly grabbed my arm. She pulled me in to an empty classroom and demanded me to sit down. "Tell me." she said with her hands on her hips and a defiant expression on her face.

I explained to her what had happened over the summer, Draco helped me fill in some parts too. I told her about Malfoy Manor, our escape, my father's death and my mother's disappearance. At last I told her about the child that was growing inside me. That madam Pomfrey explained it would probably lead a cursed life if it survived.

Draco's eyes darkened at this notion and he pressed his lips in to a thin line. I sighed at his expression - because I knew what he was thinking -, so I hastily mentioned that madam Pomfrey confirmed that it was a girl, and that I was halfway through the pregnancy.

Draco snapped his eyes to my face when I confirmed it was a girl, and he narrowed his eyes. If I wasn't mistaken, I saw a raw emotion in his eyes for a brief second before it disappeared.

"You have to get rid of it." Marie's voice snapped me back to reality and she stared at me with a fierce determination in her eyes.

"I don't know." I said with a shrug. "It's part of me and-"

"There's no telling that it will be born safely, neither is there a guarantee for your own life. Do you honestly want to sacrifice your life for a cursed child that might not even survive?"

My mouth felt dry and I felt Draco sigh next to me.

"She has a point." Said Theo and all our eyes suddenly were on his face. I had forgotten he had come with us.

"I know she bloody has a point Nott." Snarled Draco annoyed. "I've been trying to drill that into her stubborn head for weeks."

I shot him a glare, but he was just glaring back at me with the same intensity and I felt myself crumble under his stare.

"There must be something that counters the dark magic." I offered. "I know madam Pomfrey is looking in to it."

"In the meantime you're just dying slowly." Said Marie as she quirked up an eyebrow. "Merlin's beard, you even said your magic is not as it used to be! Ella, you-"

"It's not the time." I growled as I interrupted my best friend. "We're on the brink of war."

"Now you mention it," she started as she raised her eyebrows. "now that Draco's defected and all, and you're not besties with You-Know-Who anymore-"

Besties?!

"there's been an uprising in Hogwarts amongst the students." She finished.

"An uprising?" said Draco narrowing his eyes as he stepped towards Marie, towering over her with a scowl. "Who?!"

"I believe it's that Weasley girl that orchestrated it with Longbottom." Said Theo as he grabbed the waist of Marie and protectively pulled her against him. He clearly felt a little threatened by Draco's flaring anger.

Draco's eyebrows flew upwards and an incredulous expression washed over his features.

"The female weasel?" he said as he scrunched his nose up in disgust. "No thank you."
