Finalizing Things

*The Next Day*
*In The SVU Squadroom*

Elliot was sitting at his desk

Olivia was coming out of the elevator entering the 16th precinct. She walked over to her desk having to past the one that's across from hers to get to hers. Elliot's.

As she walked to her desk, she threw a smile at Elliot passing him "Mornin."

Elliot stared at her ass until she sat down. When she sat down he quickly looked up at her and smiled big, greeting her back.

He got up to go make her & his coffee

'Elliot Stabler's Got A Partner Who's On Fireeee! His Partner's On Fireeee!' Thought Elliot while walking away
'His Partner.' that word lingered on him for some minutes.

Later on as they were doing paperwork, Elliot got up to go to the Captain's office.

Knock. Knock.

"Come in." said Cap. Donald Cragen. Don for short. Looking up at his detective
"What's up Elliot?"

"Can I get off early later today?"

"What for?" Said Don

"The divorce is getting finalized today. I need to permanently get all my stuff out the house."
Elliot didn't even feel the need to tell him that he was getting a divorce. Knowing that all the rumors were everywhere in the precinct. & the him & Olivia sleeping together rumors had definitely risen up now.

"Yes, sure Elliot." "Do what you need to do."

Elliot knowing in other words he meant take the time he needs until he gets sorted out

Elliot began turning around about to walk out

"Hey El, what was that you and Olivia coming out of the cribs together the other day?"

"Oh we were just talking about the divorce. How it's gonna affect the kids."

Cragen knew his two best detectives. He knew she knew how to calm him down & he didn't need to ask more once Elliot told him what their topic was about

"Alright El. Get straight & get rest." he said sternly

"Thanks cap."

He walked out into the squadroom & went back to his desk. He could feel Olivia's eyes on him. He knew she was curious on why he went in there. He figured he'd tell her later when the whole world wasn't staring at him momentarily.

A case broke out. Cragen came in informing everybody in on what had happened.

"The victim's at Mercy General go get her statement Elliot & Olivia."

They both nodded

"Fin, Munch, the prime suspect is a past rapist in Sealview who's supposedly escaped & got back in." "Go bring him down, then begin interrogation." "He gets off on seeing pain on the little girls when he's brutalizing them. Show a picture or two when you get in there."

*The Drive To Mercy Hospital*

"El?"

"To go ask if I could leave so I could officially get everything out of the house. The divorce is getting finalized today. Gotta go to court."

She just looked at him with wide eyes but nodding

..~They could finish each other's sentences~
~Know what the other person is about to say~

"Will you be okay?" Asked Liv

"I'll be great. I told you, this is for the best."

"How are the kids taking it?"

"Well, that's another thing we have to do today. Talk to the kids. I have a busy day." Elliot sighed

"You should have been off. Go home. Go do what you need to do."

"When we get back to the precinct, I'll leave."

Liv nodded
"You need any help?"

"I probably will with the furniture," looking at the road "But I know Liv won't be able to handle such a big amount." Now looking over at her smirking

"Don't underestimate me. Stabler AssyMcBigPants!" She glared at him knowing she couldn't hold it in for long

About 6 seconds later they both died of laughter pulling up to the entrance

"Call me tomorrow morning, I'll be over there."
'She wanted so badly to be able to go over there today.' She thought to herself

*45 minutes later*

The two of them were making their way back into the precinct

"Where's Fin & Munch?"

"They just got back here. Starting the interrogation. I'm on my way to monitor it as we speak." A walking hurriedly Cragen breathed out disappearing into the hallway that led into the interrogation rooms.

"And I'm leaving out right now." Elliot said grabbing his stuff

*It Was 2p.m.*

"Call me first thing in the morning." Liv said her voice soft. Not wanting him to leave.

"I will." El said
"Goodbye Liv"

"Bye El."

Both of them holding each other's gaze for about 2 seconds before he turned around & walked into the elevator

She stared at his back until he reached the elevator then when he turned around facing her way she turned and walked to be with Cragen to watch Fin & Munch run the interrogation

"He's gone?" Cragen asked as Liv came into the little mini room to be with him

Liv just nodded

Cragen always knew she wasn't her best when he wasn't around. & vice versa.

..~They were each other's other half~

Olivia felt like the day was going by long as ever without Elliot.
