My foreward's foreward: so actually I was going to do some further editing because I found some grammatical issues sentence issues and some double negatives not to mention a few places I get a little wordy but... sometimes it's All or Nothing. Meaning if I don't publish it now then I'll take it back to the drawing board and that's where it will stay as it has for several years now. This is important information that I don't only need to share it's become an obsession so I over need to share it. Because of that it causes anxiety and the anxiety is just my brain searching for just the right words to say to you in order to convey this Theory. Hopefully you can get past grammatical errors and, my use of too many words. The first version was 20 pages; this is only 7.Someone wise once said “keep it simple stupid” and this is my attempt to do that. I am not a seasoned author nor, do I intend to become one. I came across this theory and realized that it might help people. I did not include as many examples as version 2 has because, I tried to keep things short and, sweet. Yes, I realize that some of this is already going to sound familiar but, got to start somewhere; and where better than the beginning. This theory will not replace traditional psychology but, my hope is that it will work alongside of it. We believe the brain to be complex and, it is but it’s complexity is simple to understand; once you understand the basics. I will warn you...it does take a while to grasp the inner workings because; whereas, you know how you, yourself works and, what makes sense to you/feels right...but now you have to learn how the ‘other half’ lives. Once you do; you won’t believe how they connect together and, make sense of each other.
Oh, I forgot to mention...that ‘other half’ is actually, your other half.I wasn’t going to include this but I did in the other version so, I’ll include it here.
The first things to ever make sense to your brain is, life, death and, sex. They are our origins, how we can continue and, most important; as I said, they were the first things to ever make sense to the brain. I say that; not necessarily consciously but, instinctively. This is important because; among other reasons; I suspect it’s perhaps why some people having mental issues; tend to have thoughts, dreams and, intrusive thoughts; involving death and sex. The stronger the need is to make sense of something, the darker, more aggressive and, more deviant; the thoughts, dreams and, intrusive thoughts; can become. This happens because the brain; desperate to find answers; is using the first things that ever made sense to it; to, find those answers. You see, we often use things that already make sense to, make sense of things that do not. This seems extreme but, it’s not as extreme as you think and, if you think you’re one of those people; you can tell because, after you say something inappropriate, you follow it up; not with the words ‘I don’t usually think that way; but, with the words ‘I never used to think that way’. (The first is just an excuse but the second one is more reflective.)
On the subject of life and death; before you think, ooh-positive or, boo-negative...that’s not how your brain looks at it. They are neither positive nor, negative; they are neither good nor, bad; they are simply processes. Often, things we think are good or, bad in the brain; are really just processes. The brain realizes the importance of ‘good’ and ‘bad’. For example; depression is just a process, a helpful one...but we’ll discuss that later. For now... on with the reason why we’re here.
There are two sides to the brain. The Emotional and, the Functional. Both sides can work forward; as well as; backwards. There are primary definitions to both sides. These primary definitions are; I believe; the same for everyone; however; the strengths are not the same for everyone. There are also secondary definitions but, they are not the same for everyone. The best way I can think of to explain this is that, the brain; of it’s own volition; picks and chooses the definitions that make sense; as well as; feel good, to it. This is based on, nature and nurture. The definitions can change but, there has to a better; makes more sense; reason for that change. A definition changing, can be a good thing or, it can be a bad thing.
Below are the definitions of the two sides. Not all the definitions are listed; as well as; I’ve excluded definitions that crossover. Meaning; they are used by both sides, equally. An example of this is communication. I will perhaps speak more on this, in a future publication.
