— REALIZATION.
A WEEK AFTER CHRIS'S DECLARATION OF LOVE he returned to being distant, dry and overall cold. He'd stood her up on their date once again and made some shitty excuse as to why. Currently Lydia was on call with Eliana and Katie filling them in on the recent events.
"He's a fucking piece of shit" Eliana scoffs in disbelief "you're literally a bad bitch where else is he gonna find another you!? nowhere" she continues. Katie sighs before speaking "Lyds i think he does love you, he's just not in love with you..hes barely even tolerating you and you know it." Katie tells her the cold truth, as much as it hurt her to do it Lydia needed to know. "you think he fell out of love?" Lydia asks with a frown, they couldn't see it but they knew she was frowning. "It seems like it babes" Katie tells her.
"Yeah the way hes been acting since your anniversary..its odd. he used to be crazyy about you and he literally made plans for the first two anniversaries and suddenly he doesn't care? all of a sudden he'd rather be with nate? its not adding up" Eliana adds to the conversation. And thats when the realization started to hit. Lydias heart sank to her ass and she mumbled a quick apology before hanging up.
Lydia sat there in her chair thinking of all the times Chris bailed on her, ditched her for his friends, didn't text her back, she thought of all the times his phone conveniently died and the way he treated her the day she came back in november. It was all adding up now. He didn't love her anymore. He hasn't for awhile.
She was blind and idiotic, but a part of her felt it too. she felt his love slipping away gradually. but she chose to ignore it. just so she could keep him longer. she put herself in this situation.
She wiped away her tears and suddenly her phone dinged she looked at the notification:
we need to talk
from chris.
