Chapter 1

Hello, my name is Kayla Hammond, I have brown hair with natural highlights and it's naturally curly and mid-length. I have blue-green eyes and I'm tall. I love basketball, I also play the piano and guitar. I'm also a youtuber. My bestfriend's name is Kristin Bounds, she is short with long brown hair that falls to the middle of her back. She has light brown eyes and sometimes she wears glasses but not on a daily basis. She likes to wear t-shirts and jeans. She can play the trumpet and piano, and writes poems. Kristin lives with my mom and I because her mom left her and her dad was in a freak car accident. It's a pretty sad story if you ask me. We can't talk to her about it because she doesn't like to be reminded. We are in the middle of packing because we are moving to Mississippi.

- Kayla's POV -

"Honey, are you done packing yet?!" I hear my mom yell from downstairs.

"Yeah, almost," I yell back.

I walk over to Kristin's room.

"Are you almost done packing, Kristin?" I ask her.

"Yeah, I'm done," she turns and grabs some boxes then takes them out to the moving truck.

I go in my room and grab the rest of my boxes then take them out.

"Is that all?" my mom asked.

''Yeah,'' Kristin and I say at the same time. We laugh and get in our truck. I look at my phone and see it was only 9:00 am. We got on the freeway and away we went.

I fell asleep about an hour later.

"Wake up sweetie," I hear my mom say.

"Where are we?" I ask her.

"At a hotel," she replied.

I grab my phone charger and plug in my phone. I lay down on the bed and let my head sink in to the pillow. My eye feel like there were getting heavy, before I knew it I was fast asleep.....
