Etzli sat on the couch as she was out of breath and felt light headed, she was excited for the new baby but she was tired and exhausted and it had taken a toll on her body.
Lewis walked in
Lewis: hey ezi Eztli: hey... where's marco? Lewis: he left he said he needed to clear his mind Eztli: of course he did, let me get you something to drink
Eztli got up and fell to her knees. Lewis ran to her and grabbed her by the waist and sat her down.
Lewis: are you okay?? Eztli: yeah I just, I'm not feeling okay Lewis, it's all too much lately I can't do it not again
She cried into his arms.
Lewis: what do you mean again? Eztli: I had a horrible birth experience lewis, he wasn't there with me. I was alone, sophie was still in NY and Lando was in Monaco. I had a baby alone in Maranello and I hated everything, I couldn't even look at laura those first few days. She made me hate myself, what I became. I felt like my life was over. I know I sound like a horrible mother but it's true. I'm happy now with her, she's the best thing that happened to me, but a child Lewis needs love and a happy home and I can barely provide Laura one. I can't keep this baby. Lewis: Ezi... why don't you move in with me? Or let me get you an apartment Eztli: I can't, laura needs her dad I can't separate them. Lewis: she needs a mom who is healthy and you can't be healthy if you stay here, you hate him you know that Eztli: but I'll be alone, I can't be alone
She cried again, and for the first time in a while she leaned fully into Lewis, ultimately falling asleep on him. _____________________
