Everything sucks, my life is boring and uneventful, and lately my friends avoid me.
In the corner of the room I see him.
He just sits there, waving.
From what I can see at least.
Sometimes I wave back to see if he reacts.
I can see his teeth glistening from the small rays of light from my laptop that actually reach that far, guess he's happy.
He then turns to face the wall and I just pass it off.
He's kind of cute I guess, I mean he never really hurts me.
I've come to like his presence, makes me feel a bit less lonely in this empty home of mine.
I've never directly seen his face but it's really his choice if I see it or not.
Tonight is my final day of school so i'm working hard to turn in all my work on time.
Tick, tick.
A sound comes from the corner of the room where my friend awaits patiently for me to turn.
I can't really see much, but his smile of course. Cute.
I tell him I need to focus today, so I look back at my screen and begin typing up my essay.
Tick, tick.
I hear his tapping get a little stronger this time, kind of like he's begging for attention.
I look at him once again, a bit more agitated than before and tell him that tomorrow I will pay more attention to him.
Hmph.
I hear him exhale a good amount of air in a grumpy sort of tone. Weird.
25 minutes go by and i'm almost on my last paragraph, he doesn't tap. Did he give up?
I shrug and continue writing. I begin to see long rotting fingers coil around the edges of my laptops screen and a pale face emerge from the darkness.
Do you want me to end it?
That annoying tapping? Yes.
He seems to chuckle with his disturbingly deep and raspy voice.
No silly.
He reaches out his hand to me, to which I accept.
He closed my laptop, and together we walk into the dark.
I guess with him i'm no longer lonely. He and I just chill in the corner of this room and wave at our new friend.
She spends too much time on her laptop.
