Awkard moment and three words

Katherine P.O.V

I went back to my seat and started reading again. I looked at my watch and saw the time. I still had 1 hour left of free period so I decided to go home to get some snacks.

I took the taxi and told him my address. I was looking out of the window till I saw Drake at his doorstep.

Katherine – Stop right here please.

Taxi driver – That will be $10.00.

Katherine – Here you go. Bye

I got down and walked towards him. He turned around and saw me.

Drake – Oh...hey Kathy.

Katherine – Hey. You have a free period too?

Drake – Yes I do.

Katherine – Wanna come over to my house?

Drake – Sure! Just a sec. Mom, I'm going to my friend's house. 'Ok' she replied.

I took him to my house and by the look of his face, he was mesmerized by what he saw.

Drake – You sure do have a big house compared to my house!

Katherine – Thanks!

I heard footsteps coming down from the staircase till I saw mom was in her night gown. 'WOW mom, what a great impression to give a boy I really like'

Mom – Oh hey Kathy and your ... friend.

Drake – Hello Mrs. Smith

The moment was getting a little awkward so I grabbed Drake hand and took him to the storage room were all the snacks were kept.

Katherine – Sorry for that awkward moment

Drake – No problem! It was nice meeting your mom.

Katherine – Can we stop talking? I'm really hungry!

Drake – OK..OK

------------(20 minutes later)------------

Katherine – I feel so much better

Drake – Now let's go to the school so we don't get late.

We went out of my house and tried to stop any taxi that was coming in our way. Finally one stopped.

Drake – I suggest that you go first. (what a gentlemen he is!!)

Katherine – Why thank you.

He came in the taxi after me.

Drake and Me – Clear Waters High School

Katherine – That was so weird.

We finally reached school. I looked at my watch and saw that we had 7 minutes to get our next class. I quickly checked my schedule and saw that I have English.

Katherine – how much?

Taxi driver $11.00

I didn't have money in purse.

Drake P.O.V

I could see that Katherine was struggling to find money in her purse so instead I just paid.

Katherine – Thanks Drake.

Drake – Let's go before we get late!

I saw Katherine running towards her class and me towards mine. I had math class now which was right next to Kathy's. I didn't need to check my schedule since I memorized the day I got it.

I was about to go into class until a hand stopped me from going in. It was Kathy.

Drake – What happened?

Katherine – I have something really important to tell you!

Drake – What is it?

Katherine – I love you.

Finally she said that to me!

Drake – Me too!

Katherine P.O.V

Is he for serious? The cutest boy in school likes me. I knew this was going to be the best day of my life. Our eyes locked for 5 seconds. Then I forget we were in school. I let go of his hand and went into English class.
