Hihi! I want to keep this short because I know how annoying a long author's note can be while you're wanting to start reading the story! (Sorry for those who are still awaiting the first proper chapter release!!)
I've been wanting to write fanfic of some kind for ages now, and with the new release of "The Hunger Games, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes", I decided to rewatch the Hunger Games series again!! Best thing I did because I'm obsessed all over again, and here we are (alongside my Hunger Games/Jack Quaid tiktok edit account)!
Please note that I am trying to stay as true to the original books & movies as possible, but as there are differences between these two canon stories, "Shot Through The Heart" will be a mix of these two! (With the added fan theories that you will see throughout!!)
The only (current) differences will be the replacement of Dakota Hood (actor of District 10 female) with Rory Wilkin, who is not a canon character within The Hunger Games series, and the final outcome/victor(s) of the 74th Annual Hunger Games (no spoilers hehe).
Another difference between the books and the movies is the names of all of the "unnamed tributes". The District 3 tributes, District 4 tributes, District 5 male, District 6 female, District 7 tributes, District 8 tributes, District 9 tributes, District 10 male, and Rory Wilkin of course, will each have names either chosen by me or confirmed by their actors, but as most of them are killed off in the bloodbath, not many of their names are relevant.
All other details will be mixes of the books (scenes not added or shown in the movies, descriptions of tributes, certain character deaths), and the movie (scenes, actors portraying tributes/characters, etc). All actors in the 2012 Hunger Games movie portray the exact characters, with the exception of the above.
Rory Wilkin does not currently have a face claim, as I have yet to find the perfect one for her. I do, however, have a document of her full description, including her skills, habits, family, etc which can be requested in the comments if you would like!!
