Day 1
Finally, after a week of moving in, the students of Class 1-A returned to their daily classes and lessons. The kids had been unpacking and getting settled in both their own private rooms as well as living together. Everyone in class I-A, except one student who had been stuck in a hellhole of a home to say the least.
As the class file in the classroom and head to their respective seats, the bell rings just in time as their homeroom teacher walks in the giant front door. In his usual fashion, Aizawa starts the daily attendance check, hoping to finish his class as soon as possible and take a nap. One student after the other, Aizawa calls their names and slowly but surely everyone is in the classroom.
"Todoroki!" Their teacher says tiredly, not even looking up from his class list. But without a response from the boy being called, he looks up questioningly and notices the empty chair in the back. 'Hmmm...never would've expected Shoto to be late or absent....' He leaves the checkbox next to the boy's name and continues on with the list, hoping he was just slightly late.
"Now...-" Aizawa started his class discussion and the training they'd do for the day, when the back door of the classroom opened suddenly. The two-tone haired boy hurriedly entered the classroom with his head down, bowing towards his teacher in apology for being late, before heading to his seat quietly. A few moments after, the rest of the class finally looked away from the back. Aizawa had been watching the boy intently, curious as to what could be the reason for one of his most responsible students to be late. Regardless, he pushed back the thought to the back of his mind and continued once again with his discussion.
-
The 2 hour class finally ended and class I-A had just returned from their grueling training, relishing in the cold air from their room's air conditioner. As their recess begun and the classroom filled up with chatter, Izuku grabbed some chips from his bag and headed to his dear friend to chat with who had just started eating a snack himself.
"Heeeyy Shotooo. How'r you doing?" Izuku said in his usual cheerful voice.
"I'm fine" His friend replies in a contrasting monotonous tone.
"The training was pretty hard, huh? Though must be nothing for someone as strong as you hahaha!"
"Mhm, but you're pretty strong too"
"Awwww, THANK YOUU!!" The greenette grinned excitedly after being complimented. "Oh and by the way, why were you late today? Woke up late?"
"Ummm, something like that." He looked away from his friend, instead looking out a window opposite to where his friend was. Izuku wasn't exactly wrong, except he woke up late in the training room after getting beat up the night before and passing out.
As he averts his gaze, his friend suddenly disappears as he gets chased by an angry Bakugo as per usual and he returns to quietly eating at his desk.
-
The rest of the day went by as any other school day and soon enough the end of the day came. Shoto packed his stuff hurriedly to get back home as quickly as possible to not come home to an angry Endeavor. Just as he walked out the door, Aizawa entered the classroom and called for his presence. Mentally groaning, he heads to the teacher's desk where his teacher had already sat down. The boy's mind started racing with the possibilities of what his teacher had called him in for, though as expected he kept his calm composure in front of his teacher.
-
"Why were you late today?" I got straight to the point, knowing my quite rational student probably already knew what he had been called for, but also to get back to napping as soon as possible.
"I woke up late, I apologize." Shoto decided to continue the story he agreed to with Izuku earlier.
"It's not like you to be late, though I've noticed it's happened before but I've been generous enough to not call you out for it." It really isn't like him to be late. I wonder if there's possibly something going on at home...
"I apologize sir. I'll work harder to be on time."
"Hmm. This is your first warning. Two more warnings and I'll be calling Endeavor for a meeting. Tardiness is most definitely not accepted here at U.A. unless there's a valid reason, and so far you've given none"
"I understand"
"You may leave now."
The boy bowed and left in a hurried manner, seeming to not want to waste time to head home. 'Something's definitely fishy about his homelife but.....well I can't just come to conclusions so quickly, and either way I have no evidence to prove it yet' Finally I headed back to the faculty room and took my daily after school nap in my sleeping bag.
To be continued...
