A Shed of truth

The next day Jenny's at Daryl tent, she look towards the house and sees Daryl walking over to her, she stands up and goes to him "I said bed rest" 
"And I got bored of it" she puts his arm around her shoulders and helps him sit down "how stubborn  are you" she laughs and sits next to him

"I need some advice"
"You're asking me for advice"
"I'm not going to take it I just want to hear it" 
"Then why ask" he laughs nudging her shoulder 
"I'm joking. well slightly depends on what you say"
"Go on then"
he turns to look at her, admiring her face, her dark brown eyes, her blonde hair her perfect lips, all things he hadn't notice when they first met, waiting for her to talk "well, look I'm going to say something but, if you think it's really stupid can you just promise me you'll forget everything I have said"
"sure"
"Say it"
"Say what?"
"Say you promise"
"I promise"
"Good" she looks away then back at him staring into his eyes "I get this weird feeling in my heart when I see you, when we first met, I felt it, you were different, you could have left me but you didn't and then I saw you and well..." she goes quiet and they sit in silence "Is it heartburn" Daryl jokes, making Jenny smile
"Hey. don't mock"
"You didn't say anything about not mocking you"
"It was in implied"
"Okay, I'm sorry. go on"
"That, that was it"
"You get a weird feeling around me" he smiles at her, not taking his eyes of her face
"you know what I mean"
"Yeah, I do.." he finally looks away "you've felt like this the whole time?" 
"Yeah, I think your one of the reason why I can't go back to Shane", she moves so he looks at her again "Well the cheating also plays a part" she laughs "I care about you Daryl, I don't know why, I don't know when this happened but it did. And I think you feel the same" she stares at him waiting for him to say something back, hoping he does, he says nothing for what Jenny thinks is hours but more like moments before he leans over and brushes some hair out of her face, inches apart daryl finally speaks "Scott was looking for you" he moves away 
"Right, yeah, I'll go find him" she stands up "thanks" she tells him as she walks off, he puts his head in his hands and rubs his face "should have just kissed her" he tells himself 

Two days go by and it's been awkward between Daryl and Jenny, they haven't really spoken with one another properly since Jenny had told him she cared about him. But they had no choice to be near one another when Glenn told them a secret he had been hiding from them "Um guys? so the barn is full of walkers", this shocked everyone and they all stopped what they were doing and made their way to the barn, arriving their they could hear groans coming from it, coming from the walkers inside it.
"You cannot tell me you're alright with this" Shane told Rick
"No I'm not, but we're guests here. This isn't our land" Rick tells him 
"Lower your voices" Glenn tells the both of them
"We can't just sweep this under the rug" Andrea continues ignoring Glenns pleads
"Well we ignored you shooting Daryl in the head" Jenny adds causing Andrea to give her a look
"It ain't right. Not remotely. Okay, we've either go to fo in there, we've got to make things right or we've just got to go. Now we've been talking about Fort Benning for a long time" Shane tells the group
"Shane enough about Fort Benning. If the CDC collapsed there is no way Fort Benning is still operational"
"Maybe they are" he snaps at her
"They won't be Shane use our head"
"Why can't we try"
"Because my daughter is still out there" Carol says re-joining the conversation
"Okay, I think it's about time we all start considering the other possibility" Shane says shutting down Carol's comment
"Shane. What the hell" Jenny snaps "We aren't leaving Sophia behind, she's just a kid"
"I'm close to finding this girl. We just found her damn doll two days ago" Daryl tells them
"you found her doll, Daryl. That's what you did. You found a doll"
"Shane enough with the attitude, it's tiring, and utterly useless. It doesn't help at all" she says stepping up to him, getting in his face, and trying to get Daryl to step away "Please Shane if you don't have anything helpful to say. Keep your mouth shut"
"I'm just saying what everyone is thinking. Ain't no way any little girl is going to run to him for safety" Jenny punches him, smacking him right in his jaw, causing him to take a few steps back and she copies, completely frightened for what he may do, which makes Daryl instinctively step in front of her blocking Shane getting to her
"That's enough. Let me talk to Hershel. Let me figure it out" Rick tells them
"What are you going to figure out" Shane asks annoyed by the punch Jenny had done which has left a cut on his lip and a bruise start to form on his chin
"If we are gonna stay , if we are gonna clear this barn, I have to talk him into it. This is his land" Rick says
"Hershel sees these things as people" Dale adds
"You knew?" Rick asks surprised 
"Yesterday, I talked to Hershel" Dale continues
"And you waited the night?" shane asks him angrily
"I thought we could survive one more night. We did. I was waiting till this morning to say something. But Glenn wanted to be the one"
"Look lets not get to mad at them, okay we've been here a while and nothing had happened"
"YOU KNEW TOO" Shane says turning to her
"Of course I did. I've been here longer than you. The Greene family has their ways and they assured me it was very secure"
"YOU KNEW AND DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING. OUR SON IS HERE JENNY HOW ABOUT YOU USE YOUR HEAD" he shouts at her getting more angry then before. Rick now joins Daryl in standing between Jenny and Shane
"Look let me just talk to Hershel" he looks to Shane "Give me some time okay? go cool of Shane" shane just grunts and storms off

He finds her sat on the porch of the house starring, she sees him coming  and looks to the floor "Go away Daryl"
 "I just came to check on you"
"I'm fine, everyone hates me but I'm great thanks, you can go now" she stands up and starts to head in
"I'm sorry about the other day" she stops walking "You wanted me to say something and I didn't. I just can't I don't say that stuff"
"Okay" she doesn't turn around "so what, you going to rub it in my face" he walks over to her and stands in front of her 
"no. I wanted to check on you. Your the closest thing I've had to a friend ever. I don't want to ruin it and that's what's going to happen if I try and get close to you like that"
"Okay" she tries to go round him but he stops her by holding her hands "What else could you have to say"
"I don't know but I know I don't want you mad at me"
"It's fine, we are friends, end off, we wont happen. we are fine, I'm not mad, now can I go in"
"J.."
"What" she says mad
"you are mad"
"well Dixon people do have things called emotions and feeling okay, just cause you don't"
"Hey"
"What did I hurt your nonexistent feelings?" she moves her hands away "did I?" he just looks at her then walks off

Later Jenny walks over to some of the group seeing that Shane is handing out guns, she sees Lori heading over and they run over together, they get their and see Shane trying to give Carl a gun to kill the walkers and see Scott with one already in his hands, Jenny quickly takes it off him "What are you thinking Shane" she shouts gesturing to the gun she took from Shane
"He needs to protect himself"
"From what Shane? that's what we are hear from, the only problem I see is you" he steps towards her but stops when one of the others shouts "Oh shit" they all turn to see Rick with Hershel and Jimmy leading a walker back to the farm. Shane takes of running towards them and the barn full of walkers, everyone else following close behind him.

Shane starts shooting at the walker, trying to prove his point, but all he is doing is scaring everyone. Scott grabs Jenny's hand after hearing his dad so mad, it scared him a lot, Scott was a tough kid but he hated when his dad got mad

"Guys" Glenn says cutting into the argument that was about to happen and bringing their attention to the doors of the barn that had broken open and walkers had started to come out. Shane and the others kill the walkers as they come out causing the greene family who had started to come over after seeing them run over and heard the shouting, to become dressed as they see their old family and family friends being shot as Shane shouts at them for keeping the walkers there, he ends up killing it before he opens the door and they start shooting at the walkers that come out "Scott, Carl stand behind me" Jenny tells the boys and they do what she says hiding behind her as she shoots at the Hershels families once friends and family. The last one comes out and Jenny turns round "Shane what the hell was that, you could have killed us""back off" he threatens, Daryl walks over and stand behind her "you too Daryl. step back" Daryl moves in front of Jenny when Carol cries out "Sophia" they turn to the shed and see Sophia walk out, but she's not alive, not anymore, she's a walker too, Carol drops to the floor completely devastated, Daryl goes to comfort her as Jenny takes shanes gun "Over here" she calls the once young lively girl, it turns to face her, her face pale and starting to decay and Jenny raises the gun with shaking hand and shoots her in the head, the walker instantly drops to the floor, Jenny stares at the body then slams the gun back into Shanes hands and walks off "mom" Scott says following after her, Daryl gets up and follows too "Scott, hold on let me talk to her okay? just stay with them and Carol. Thanks kid" 

"Can you talk to her Daryl?"
"in a bit I will. Okay, just stay over here" he messes with Scott's hair and they walk back over, he looks back and watches as she disappears out of sight.
"I hope our happy dad" Scott chokes out scowling at his dad
"What was that"
"I said I hope your happy, look around dad. You want people to be afraid well you've done it"
"Don't talk to me like that Scott, I'm your father"
"He's right Shane. What were you thinking"
"I was protecting us. they are dangerous"
