The Feather Palace, Elysia

The night was dark and stormy, and the wind howled through the trees. A lone figure rode on a black horse, his cloak flapping in the wind. He carried a sword at his side, and a scroll in his hand.

He reached the castle gates and dismounted his horse. He knocked on the door and waited for a response. A guard opened the door and looked at him suspiciously.

- Who are you, and what do you want?- the guard asked.

- I am a messenger. I have an urgent message for the king. Let me in, or you will regret it.- the messenger, just a young boy, said.

The guard hesitated but then nodded. He opened the door wider, and let the messenger in. He led him to the throne room, where the king was sitting on his throne, his posture always impeccable. He looked like a portrait as if he had never moved.

The messenger bowed before him and handed the scroll. He took it and opened it. He read it, and his eyes finally seemed to have some sort of emotion. He looked at the messenger, and asked him:

- Is this true? - his voice deep and so cold the messenger could swear it gave chills to anyone who heard it. - Is this real?

- Yes, your majesty. - the poor boy's voice cracked. - It is true. The kingdom is rebelling. The people of Elysia have spoken. It seems it all started with a girl, they call her Alikos. It is claimed that she is the chosen one, the heir of the ancient prophecy. You must gather your allies, and prepare for war. - the messenger said.

The king stood up. Anyone could see the rage in his eyes, as well as the fear. He looked at the scroll in his shaky hands, and then at the boy.

- Thank you for bringing me this message. You have done your duty. Now, I must do mine. Tell me, what is your name?

- My name is Aron. Aron Grey.

The king nodded and said:

- Well, Aron Grey, you have just witnessed the beginning of a new era. I present you, my son, - he raised his left arm and a young man stepped forward. - he will be the terror of this idiotic rebellion.

The prince looked as cruel as his father. His face, half-hidden in shadows, held an inscrutable expression. And his voice, just as deep as his father's but with a temerous rasp:

- Show me, Aron. Show me this Alikos.
