HENRY

"I'm Hen-" I was about to introduce myself when suddenly, with the greatest timing ever, Nathan showed up.

"Hey bro, hurry up!" He said with a tired tone.

"I have to go. Bye love." I waved. Just mesmerized with her beauty.

"Bye." She waved back.

On the way back to his house, I couldn't stop thinking about that girl. She had eyes like the ocean and they sparkled like light reflecting the sea. She had blonde hair and they were cute and curly like mine yet long. She was so breathtakingly and effortlessly beautiful.

"Hey Bridgerton, you're thinking about that girl huh?" He said with a huge grin.

"Well di Angelo, you had the most perfect timing back there."

"She's hot if you're asking me and looks like a kind girl, perfect for you."

"Nah, she's out of my league." I said with defeat.

"I know her." He said.

"Really?" I said with a hint of hope.

"Yeah, she's an architecture student back at the university. She's also the daughter of one of the richest families here in London. I forgot her name though." He said trying to remember.

"How do you know these stuff?"

"Well remember my cousin Stephen?"

"Yeah, the college jock?" I replied remembering who he was.

"Well, as you know that kid is also rich"

"Like you" I said sarcastically. He was rich. His family even hired me to tutor him when we were in high school.

"Whatever, anyways back to the topic. He dates Mary. And she's Mary's best friend." He said effortlessly

"Who's Mary?" I asked, I didn't really know all the wealthy people.

"Maria Antoniette Ramirez Young. The sister of Alexander Christian Young."

"Ohh, that Mary, I remember her and...I remember Alex. Alexander Christian Young. That guy was something. He used to hang with us even though he was a year younger. We used to be great friends. But it's been 6 years." I said. Alex was a great friend to me and to Nathan. We used to hangout lots. Then years passed and he didn't talk or notice us. Suddenly, one day, I heard from his mother that he died.

"Yeah" he said with a sad tone.

"But that doesn't change the fact that her sister is the best friend of that girl"

"You're right di Angelo... She's so out of my league." And with that I came up to my room thinking, how unfair the world is. Truly.

Living my life hasn't always been easy. I went through a lot but I've always made sure that I would have fun. As far as I know my parents were divorced back when I was still 2 years old so I've been living with my mother ever since. As for my father. I don't know who he is, all I know is that his last name is Bridgerton. Though without a complete family, I've been able to go through a great life. I just graduated with honors at the University of Cambridge. And now I'm just wondering what business I'd have to get to. At the age of 26, I have to help my mother. Ohh, my name is Henry Adriane Bridgerton, the only son of Anne Finlay. I wish I'd be able to find something in London, now that I have to go there. Although my mother has always been there. My life has always had something missing, maybe it's my father.
