Aaron
The day my brother and I turned fifteen was the day the creepy old house got sold, it wasn't until the next month when the family moved in; I always thought the house was pretty ugly. I looked over at my brother Damian or the lump that was him; he had pulled his blanket over his head.
His side of the room was black and when I say black I mean it, the wall behind his bed, his bookshelves (which held nothing but some books that Gram and Gramps had giving him) all black. Aside form the Alice Cooper poster hanging above him his side of the room was pretty bear, mine was too but it as a dark blue color instead; and my bookshelves was filled with books even though I couldn't read.
I peered out my window at the creepy house again then over to my brother he sifted and let out a groan as he poked his head out of the blanket and took a breath then went right back under. I sighed and walked out of the door I could of told him that today was the first day of school and he needed to go, It would of fallen on deaf ears anyway, As I peered around the corner I saw Gram moving around in the kitchen she always did this on the first day of school.
"I head somebody bought that house next to ours" she said as she handed Gramps his plate "Isn't that nice?" I head Gramps grunt and the creaking of a newspaper "I hope it ain't none of them youngin' mothers" Gramps muttered. By "Youngin' mothers" he meant very young girls who had babies already and were still in high school.
Gram hushed him as I sat down "Don't you look handsome!" she gushed and placed my plate in front of me "Always looked good in blue!"
I smiled, "Thanks Gram"
Gramps looked up at me from behind his news paper "Where's you're Brother, Aaron?" He asked putting the paper down on the table and took a drink of his coffee. I bit off a piece of my toast "Still asleep" I told him, Gram sighed and shook her head.
"I swear that boy could sleep through a twister" she walked over to the steps "Damian!" she hollered "Damian get up!" Gram shook her head again and looked over at Gramps "William would you go get him please?" she asked Gramps sighed and stood up.
"That damned boy, DAMIAN!" He yelled up the steps as his loud stomps of his boots echoed off the halls I finished off my toast just as Gramps was pulling Damian down the steps by his shoulder and just as I figured he was decked out in black, shirts, pants, and maybe even his boxers.
He looked over at me and scoffed "Geek" he muttered as he took a bite out of his toast. Gram sighed as she sat down I knew it was about Damian's clothes, she had set some out the night before and I'm 100% sure that what he had on wasn't it.
"Damian that's not what I set out for you" Gram told him shaking her head, Damian shrugged as he stood up and walked over to the door and slipped his shoes on.
Gram nodded to me telling me that I should head to the bus stop too.
