Chapter 21

Now Abhi had to go to the library because he promised his girl to meet there. He knew he was going to receive a long lecture about punctuality from Vaish. When he reached there he saw Vaish reading a book. He quickly sat beside her.

Abhi: Mere bina tune book padhni start kardi? Maine kaha tha na saath mein padhenge?

Vaish almost yelled: ABHI TU-

Other students around them eyed them with irritation and signalled them to keep quiet.

Vaish talked slowly: Abhi tu half an hour late h. Mai kya wait krti hi rhu? Kitni waar kaha h time pe aaya kr?

Abhi: Sorry yaar! Chal ab start se padhte h.

Vaish: Nhi tu yeh kabhi aur padhna.

Abhi tried to take the book from her but she turned it to the opposite direction from him.

Abhi whined: Pleaseee!!

Vaish sternly: No!

The librarian came towards then.

Librarian: Both of you, either keep quiet or get out of here.

AbhiNavi: Sorry ma'am!

Abhi finally gave in and brought another book from a random shelf.

After Abhi left to meet Vaishnavi the rest of them ordered food from the cafeteria. Raj got greeted by the uninvited and shameless girl, Payal. She hugged him, faking things again. But he didn't hug back.

Payal: Hey, Baby! Aaj shyaam ko movie dekhne chale?

He pulled away from the hug before responding.

Raj: I'm busy.

Payal: I know tum mere liye time nikal loge.

Anu was losing her patience with Payal. She tried hard to control herself but Payal was now crossing her limits.

Anu: Payal tumhe nhi lagta yeh bohot zyada ho rha h? Woh bol rha h na woh busy h.

Payal: Anu tum humare personal matter mein nhi bol sakti. Just because woh tumhe apne saath ghumne deta h iska matlab yeh nhi tum kuch bhi bologi.

Anu was offended, how dare Payal say something like that about her. She opened her mouth to say something but Raj beat her to it.

Raj: Payal! You're crossing your lines.

Payal raised her voice a little to gain everyone's attention and to let everyone hear: Baby, leave this! Hum yaha se chalte h.

Raj was already mad and now she was trying to ignore his words. He was trying to be patient but sometimes patience just doesn't work. He just wanted to end this now.

Now Raj spoke loudly to LITERALLY create a scene: Payal, let's break up.

Payal was dumbfounded, she didn't know what to say. Her face went pale, she never thought he could do this. Now everyone was looking at them.

Payal whispered: Why?

Raj didn't even say anything. He didn't reason anything, he just left the place. Anu was trying to hide the little smile that was trying to spread over her lips. The rest of the friends were happy as finally Raj shooed Payal away. Payal followed Raj and held his hand.

Payal: Tum aise kaise breakup kr sakte ho?

Raj: Tum bohot hi fake ho Payal.

He took his hand away and left the cafeteria. The rest of the gang sat on their seats enjoying the scene.
