The sun was just setting, filling the sky with beautiful orange and pink hues. Celestia stood on the balcony, her hair flowing slowly in the wind. She sighed and turned around, trotting back inside her castle.

Luna had come back from her prison just a few days prior. Celestia couldn't help but be a bit upset at the fact that people are now adoring Luna just as much as they had once adored herself. She had raised the sun and the moon, yet they adored Luna? It was unfair in her mind.

The older sister used her magic to close the balcony doors behind her, her eyes looking down at the ground. She walked over to her desk, looking down at the papers on the table. They were crumpled plans of what she had in mind for the future. Plans of what she would do while Luna was gone.

Now, Luna is back. She would never be able to do those things.

Celestia had lost the power she had once had over the ponies, now forced to share it with her sister once more. She was not willing to accept this, which is why she was making her way to Luna's room.

She opened the door using her magic and trotted inside the room, noticing that Luna was taking one of her naps. Celestia loomed over the bed, her tall figure casting a shadow down on Luna's sleeping form. She stood there for an unknown amount of time before she trotted out of the room, gently closing the door behind her using her magic.

Celestia walked into her room and opened the balcony door, using her magic to lower the sun and raise the moon just like she had been used to doing. Celestia told Luna she didn't need to raise the moon this month, as she had just got back.

The full moon was high in the sky, bathing the land of Equestria in a cool light. Celestia trotted back inside, using her magic to close the balcony doors behind her with a sigh.

The older sister continued this cycle. Her and Luna would go through their usual routine, responding to important letters and working. Once the sun began to set, Luna would take a nap. When the sky was painted a pink-orange hue, Celestia would walk into Luna's room and stand over her bed, never moving an inch until it was her time to leave.

Some might have found it creepy, but Celestia considered it just being a good sister. Every evening when she stood over her sisters bed, horrible thoughts of violence would fill her mind. She had managed to ignore them every time.

Celestia had no reason to be watching her sister, it just came naturally after she returned.

So, Celestia continued this strange cycle. Never once changing anything. She would lower the sun at the same time every day. She would watch Luna for the same amount of time every day. Nothing changed and the cycle remained the same, just how Celestia liked it.

Even then, the pit that grew in Celestia's stomach grew every day. She would have a rotten tangy taste in her mouth every time she saw her younger sister. A dark feeling brewing in her gut anytime the youngest was given praise by the townsponies.

The feeling was sour and she wanted it to go away, but it remained. It only got worse as time went on, the feeling making her want to thrash and attack anything she can find.

But when something changed, Celestia couldn't help but feel furious at the change.
