Chapter One

Y/n POV

"Lila!" I exclaim running up to my best friend. I threw my arms around her and she laughed, hugging me back tightly. "Good to see you to L/n" She said grinning. "2 Weeks girl! Where have you been?!" I protest, straightening out my denim jacket. Lila stuck up her nose in a funny way and kicked a rock to me. "Private business y/n"  She snickered, kicking another rock with her Nike kicks. I rolled your eyes knowing that she never has anything private. "C'mon, tell mee" I pried, giving her the cutest puppy eyes ever. She laughed again and checked her watch, "I'll tell you at lunch!" She called and dashed away towards math. I groaned and pulled up my lavender backpack.

I was a 15 year old student who studied at Midtown High, and have magical abilities ever since I was born and enchanted. "Y/n Get to class!" a voice yelled from the end of the corridor and you spun around to see an angry Mr. Stevens storming over to me. "Yes sir!" I said and quickly hurried around the stairs and into the girls bathroom. I didn't give a care for school and nor did my friend Lila or Mj who happened to be going to the same school together since 2nd grade. I zipped open my backpack and opened a small box which happened to be quite empty. I cursed and unlocked the small box with the small silver key that hung on my neck. The contents that happened to be in there currently was a small amount of magic dust, a small leather notebook and a ring with the emblem of the sun which belonged to my great grandfather before he passed away. I came from a long line of magic and myths so I had a lot of items that should not be real.

"Y/n?" I looked up and there was Mj and Betty standing there. "Oh hey um" I stuttered, quickly slamming and locking the box before stuffing it back into my bag. "What's that?" Betty asked curiously, poking my bag. Before I could answer, Mj said "Whatever, Mrs. Robins is looking for you" and they left spinning around and letting the door fall shut back into the doorframe. I listened to their footsteps retreat back around the corner away and I breathed a sigh of relief and opened the box once again, and putting some of the powder into a small locket necklace I had. "There, That should be enough to last till next week" I muttered before zipping my bag shut and heading over to Science class.

*Time skip to lunch*

"What were you doing in the bathroom?" Mj hissed at me as I sat down making sure no one else heard. I shrugged, "Some stuff I had to sort out" I replied, staring at my sandwich. She glared at me and huffed as Lila came and sat down next to me. "So, anyways, what were you doing in those two weeks?" I asked Lila, quickly changing the subject. She smiled, pleased with herself and stole the cookie off my tray, taking a bite. "Well, I got a Stark Internship and so did Peter" she said taking a bite out of the chocolate chip cookie. "What's Peter gotta do with this" I grumbled snatching the cookie back. Mj giggled and gazed over at where Peter sat with Ned. "You two make an adorable couple!" I giggled, and Lila snickered. "Hey!" Mj grumbled and shoved me. I laughed and got up stretching, "Well, why don't you go ask him to com sit with us?" I asked, looking at Mj innocently, sitting back down. Mj's face turned red and glared at me. "Shhh, he's looking at you!" Lila giggled, glancing at Peter who was staring at Mj while Ned whispered to him. "He's coming" I snickered, giving Mj a playful shove as she blushed. 

"Hey uh" I turned around a Peter was standing there while Ned rooted him on. "Play it cool" I whispered at Mj and she gave me a quick pinch, "Shut up" She whispered back. "Could me and Ned perhaps sit here with you guys..?" He stuttered a blush spreading on his cheeks. I rolled my eyes, I hated these romance scenes in a movie or anywhere to be honest. "Sure" Mj said, "I don't care" I shrugged and took a bite of my PB&J sandwich. He gave the thumbs up sign to Ned and tried to walk over casually but ended up tripping over his shoelace. The tables near us snickered along with me, Mj and Lila too as Ned palmed his forehead and Peter turned beet red.

For the rest of the lunch period, Peter kept trying to talk to Mj while me and Lila laughed behind his back.For the rest of the day, assignments, partner projects and more kept bothering me but I had more problems like controlling my powers.
