Episode 3 : The Promening Part 3

Uzi and N crawl through the bunker's ventilation system as they try to make their way to the prom, unfortunately for them, navigating the ducts is nearly impossible, and the two quickly become lost in the labyrinth, much to the worker drone's annoyance, "How do you guys even manage to get out of here? Everything looks the same." Instead of getting a helpful answer, the smaller machine groans as the murder drone gives her a different response, "I don't know; I typically just wander until I'm outside."

Before Uzi can retort, their conversation is interrupted when they hear some banging in the vents, prompting them to stay silent until the worker drone speaks up in a hushed voice, "That's gotta be V, N." The murder drone nods while changing a hand into an assault rifle and points it at the upcoming intersection.

The noise continues to get louder until it's right next to them, making N thrust his arm forward, putting the barrel up to (Y/N)'s head as it pops out from around the corner. Quickly, the ravager drone grabs the firearm and smacks it on the vent's floor while growling, though everyone's tension dissipates upon realizing who they're looking at. Letting go of the disassembly drone's arm, (Y/N) gives the duo an unamused look as he speaks, "You know, I don't appreciate having a gun pointed at my head."

While N turns his hand back to its normal appearance, Uzi crawls up to (Y/N), "Where have you been? Either one of us could have used you." Grunting at her, the ravager drone keeps moving forward, forcing the other two to follow him while he speaks, "Well sorry for not being immediately by your sides, but I was a little busy trying to stop V from getting here. Though I think you can both figure out how that went."

As the trio keeps moving through the vents, Uzi calls out to (Y/N) as they attempt to keep up with him, "Are you trying to get rid of us?!" The ravager drone looks back at her before answering with a slight edge to his voice, "No; I'm trying to get to V. Considering she's planning on killing everyone at the prom, something I hope N has made you aware of, I have a good idea of where she's going; so even if I couldn't help you earlier I can do it now." Pulling himself up a vertical section, the worker drone questions him, urgency lacing her words, "And how do you know this is the right way?" Sighing, he turns around and reveals the ventilation blueprint Kira gave him, "Because I have a map."

Continuing through the cramped tunnels, the trio wordlessly follows the map for a few minutes before N breaks the silence, asking (Y/N) what happened, "So... How did V escape?" This question causes the ravager drone to immediately stop, making the other two bump into him. Trembling, his optics briefly flash red before returning to (E/C), "She said some things that made me freeze."

"And she didn't kill you?" (Y/N) looks at Uzi and replies after a moment, "Yeah. Don't know why though; she had the perfect opportunity to finish me." With that said, they all returned to their search; however, the ravager drone now wears a confused expression as he ponders V's actions.

Feeling the uneasiness emanating from the ravager drone, N tries to make sure everything's alright, "Do you want to talk about wha-" Before he can finish his sentence, (Y/N) shushes him while raising a hand, "Quiet. I hear something."

Listening carefully, the trio can hear what sounds like chanting, though only (Y/N) is far enough ahead to detect V's somewhat hushed voice, "Can kill everyone... after? It's not vain, it's extra sinister." Turning around to look at his companions, (Y/N) signals them to back up as he begins clawing at the vent's floor.

Meanwhile, just below them, V hides her claws and wings before advancing to the microphone on stage, still failing to notice Lizzy's concerned look, or Doll cackling in the crowd as her right eye changes to the absolute solver symbol and watches the murder drone approach a red X placed right in front of the mike. Tapping the mike, V is about to say something while Doll gets ready to use her powers, but before either of them can act, a small part of the ceiling caves in as (Y/N) falls through, quickly followed by Uzi and N, their landing more graceful than that of their friend.
