Skylar looked at the open shutter in shock that there was someone there and Rick was right Skylar looked over at Daryl and Merle who were doing the same thing she was, could they be saved from the life on the road not knowing who or what was out there.

"Daryl and Skylar, you cover the back"Shane said Dixons nodded moving to the back of the group keeping an eye out for any walkers.

"Hello? Hello?"Rick called out getting no answers.

"Close those doors, watch for walkers "an unknown voice called out from somewhere in the building Skylar looked trying to pinpoint where the voice was coming from.

"Hello" Rick called out once more but was stopped by the sound of a gun cocking making everyone with a gun aiming at where the sound was coming from seeing a man's figure standing in the shadows.

"Anybody infected" the unknown man asked.

"One of our group was, he didn't make it" Rick said making Skylar think about Jim who they left under a tree.

"Why are you here? What do you want?"The unknown man asked moving closer to the group and making Skylar stand next to Rick who still had his gun pointed up to the man.

"A chance," Rick said

"That's asking an awful lot these days, "the unknown man said.

"I know" Rick responded.

"Look man we get it you don't know us from Adam but we can't go out there at least not tonight, we have children the streets are covered in walkers" Skylar said trying to persuade the man to let them stay after Skylar finished her sentence the unknown man look at everyone in the group before looking back at Rick and Skylar.

"You all submit to a blood test, that's the price of admission"The unknown man requested.

"We can do that, "Rick said.

The unknown man put his gun down looking at everyone once again "You got stuff to bring in you do it now, once this door closes, it stays closed" the unknown man said making T-dog, Shane, Daryl, Glenn and Skylar rush out getting everyone stuff before rushing back into the CDC with Dale shutting the door behind them.

"Vi, seal the main entrance, kill the power up here," the unknown man told some unknown person before the shutter started to shut again this time with them inside safely at least that's what they thought.

"Rick Grimes" Rick introduced himself to the unknown man.

"Dr.Edwin Jenner" the man introduced himself to the group.

"Why did it take you so long to let us in doc when you know what it's like out there"Skylar asked the doctor as they stepped into the elevator standing in between Daryl and Glenn after she asked her question Jenner looked at her but before he replies Daryl also asked him a question.

"Doctors always go around packing heat like that?"Daryl asked the doctor who was holding a M4 Machine Rifle.

"There were plenty left lying around, I familiarised myself and to answer your question you can never be too careful these days not only are we fighting against The dead but we're also fighting against the living, but you guys look harmless enough, except you ill have to keep my eye on you, "Jenner said looking at Carl after Jenner answered Skylar and Daryl's question it left Skylar with more question she already had left the rest of the ride left in silence After everyone got out the elevator Jenner lead them down a long hallway.

"Are we underground?"Carol asked feeling a slight tightness in her chest making Jenner look behind at her but what everyone didn't know was Skylar was feeling a panic attack come along as it reminded her of her family's house basement.
