A/N: If you weren't able to guess: Lana is a lesbian, Gary is gay, Brian is bisexual, Tamara is transgender, Andrew is asexual, Irene is intersex, Pete is pansexual (Pete, we have something in common), Quinn is questioning and Naveen is non-binary. These specific people don't exist in real life, but what I said about them was influenced by my own experiences.
Growing up I didn't know what LGBT+ was or that it even existed. I always had a thing for girls as well as boys, but being into boys was the normal thing for a girl and so my crushing on girls was always stamped off as mere admiration. It wasn't until I came across a lesbian Youtuber when I started learning all these things about sexualities. My love for girls grew and so I found myself indetifying as bisexual, then lesbian, then back to bisexual until I found out about pansexuality and preferences. I identify as pansexual because I don't care about what gender a person identifies with, if they're attractive to me then that'll be it. I do have a preference for the females but that doesn't make my sexuality invalid. I also found out about this neat thing called demisexuality, which is also something I identify with.
Along the time in which I discovered who I was I met a girl that I'll call Kate. Kate was bisexual, though I think she was rather just questioning at the beginning. Kate and I dated for a short while until she met her current boyfriend, which is okay, because she's still bisexual (though she often thinks about possibly being pansexual) and that hasn't changed just because she's with a guy. Kate is one of my dearest friends today, she's the only LGBT+ friend I regularly talk to and I'm really grateful that I could meet her. Kate, if you're reading this... Hi. We're probably at the Zurich Pride Festival right now.
Other than finding my own sexuality I also learned a lot about gender identity and all that has made me understand people a lot better. I'm happy that I've been able to make new friends (even if most of them are internet friends) and that I could gain so much knowledge, cause let's be honest, learning new things is really damn cool. Knowledge, yeah!
Anyway, that's kinda my story, a short version atleast. Thank you all for reading. You're all amazing. Take care. <3
