Phoenix's pov
I woke to the sound of a kettle boiling so I checked the time 3:01am!! Why was my mum up at this time? I peeked out the window to see half of the Australian sun on the horizon,I got up and changed into a Green Day band T-shirt and a pair of marvel shorts,I did a cat eye for my eyeliner and pulled my long lavender har into a high ponytail.I wondered downstairs to see my mum sat down at the table with a cup of tea "Hi honey." She whispered smiling at me. I pulled some strawberry poptarts out of the cupboard and placed them into the toaster pushing down the levers "Why are you up so early? What did I do?" I questioned panicking. She smiled and stood up placing her hands on my shoulders "I've got amazing news darling," she said smiling at me exitedly "You are going to live with your dad in America!!". I felt like the whole world had stopped, I looked at her then jumped up and down " Oh my God oh my god!!" I shouted "When do we leave!?" I asked stopping with a massive smile on my face. She looked down and said"your poptarts are burning." I spun around and grabbed them, slamming them onto a plate. A wave of realisation hit me like a wrecking ball "You aren't coming are you." I whispered looking down as I sat down at the table."No I'm not, but I'll help you pack since you're leaving in an hour." She answered giving me a weak smile, I gave her one back and went to my room pressed play on my CD player to hear the first chords of Wake me up when September ends playing, I signed and sang along "

I wiped a tear that had rolled down my cheek and grabbed my suitcase. "That was beautiful dear." My mum whispered from the doorway.I smiled at her and took down my posters, neatly rolling them as all about you- mcfly came on, my mum and I packed the rest of my things away in record time whilst dancing around and singing. "We still have half an hour,you have fifteen minutes until we need to leave, why don't you go say goodbye to Tristan? "my mum asked. I grabbed my torch and went to the window flashing it six times meaning 'come to the beach, its urgent' I saw three flashes meaning 'on my way'.
I made my way down to the beach and sat by the shore with my head in my knees." What's up Birdie?" He asked sitting down next to me, I had taken out my hair earlier so it covered my face,I looked up at him with tears streaming down my face "Hey, what's wrong Phoenix?" He said hugging he close as I sobbed into his pyjama T-shirt. After five minutes I spoke "I-im moving to America, to live with my dad." I said staring at the horizon silently thanking God for waterproof eyeliner and mascara."That's great Nix!!" Tristan shouted helping me up and pulling me into a hug."Thank you Tree." I said staring at him, the next thing I did was something I'd wanted to do for a long time, I put my arms around his neck and kissed him.I pulled away before he could say anything and ran back to the house to mum who had just finished packing my things into the car.

I arrived at the airport early enough to go through security and get on the plane with a minute to spare " Bye mum, I love you so much I'll text you the minute I arrive!" I said giving her a kiss on the cheek and going to the plane. "Look for a man with brown hair and a sign that says 'Phoenix Xavier'!" She called from behind me...
(How was that? BTW the only characters I own are Tristan,Phoenix's mum and of course Phoenix. Also I'm British so I might put things like 'street' or 'football'.)
