First, let's take it out of the way

English is not my first language. So my grammar is going to be weird, to say the least. If I commit any glaring errors, please notify me in the comments.

I have never written a "book" before. I never considered myself an avid reader either.
I decided to write this specifically in wattpad as a sort of challenge.
So the writing will not be stellar. I don't have any pretentions to be a book writer, but I will try my best.

Now let's proceed to my disjointed ramblings.

NONE OF THE PICTURES OR MUSIC USED IN THIS BOOK BELONGS TO ME.

They are all for illustrory or dramatic purposes. Pictures to show an aproximation of how I visualize certain characters, locations, etc; (since I don't trust my abilities with describing stuff).
And Imusic to give certain chapters/scenes a 'soundtrack'.

But feel free to imagine however you want or listen to whatever you like.

I hope to not disapoint you, but...

THIS STORY IS NOT A ROMANCE. 

If you want a book where a toxic delusional guy kidnapps some poor girl, does horrible things to her and the two fall in love by some mental... I mean, miracle, there's plenty of those in this site to read. In fact, Wattpad being flooded with such titles is the very reason for me to write this. 

Well, there will be a romance... I think you will guess between who while reading, though It is definetely not the focus.

Yes, I will be honest and admit it is kinda of a bait and switch. I will not spoil what happens (duh, i want people to read the whole thing), and if I try to give you the idea I know i will make it too obvious. But, there will be plenty of foreshadow to explain the plot doing a 180.

Warnings, again

This story contains tons of violence, torture, murder and brutality. I think there is not a lot to worry here, since my descriptions are garbage. But when it comes to books the reader's imagination does all the heavy work in this department.

But nobody cares that much about those, so let's jump to the ones people are more sensitive about: it has depictions of rape, sexual assault, molestation and abuse (implied one of underage characters and incest).
I cringe when these things are written in a romantic way (though I understand the fantasy behind it), so I plan on portraying these situations as actually gross and uncomfortable.
Though, I am too much of a prude to write sexually explicit scenes, and I have as much expertise in this area as I do on military science. I don't feel confortable writing explicit rape scenes, so there won't be any graphic depictions of it.

About POVS:

I will use first person for the mc and maybe other characters I MAY find relevant to show things through their perpective. An advantage literary media has over visual media is the introspection of characters, specially if they aren't very active or outspoken in the story.

There is one character though I am not sure if I should give him a POV, as I find him more interesting if the reader doesn't know much of the innerworkings of his mind. 

Setting

The story will be set in the late 2000s. I chose this time period to fit the timeline I made that references real life events, besides phones not being that proeminent at the time. 

I left the location somewhat ambiguous, but, one can easily deduce it to be the US. Since I am not american don't expect me to know very especific things about the culture.

Edits

I am insecure and my mind changes all the time. I am also fixated on plot holes, inconsistencies, wasted opportunities and padding in regards to my own stories. Ah, and the spelling errors. So, I will either edit/rewrite the shit out of it or never touch it again once it's published.
