Lucas barges threw my door and gasp for air. "I found Penny" he manages to say threw gasps. Penny was our 10 year old sister, her and dad went on a walk a couple weeks ago and dad said she just ran off.
I immediately Jump off my bed and follow Lucas to dads office. "Lucas we aren't supposed to be in here..." Dad gets angry if we disobey him.
"I came in here looking for dad, I heard a noise in the closet, and found Penny. She's gone." he opens the door and zombified Penny stumbles out.
"P-Penny?" I stutter. "Lauren, we have to get out of here" Lucas says. He was right. if we are going to survive Lucas and I are going to have to escape Woodbury. Without dad knowing.
Lucas and I ran upstairs to our room and packed all our things into two little bags.
We go to the back gates, since Nolan always falls asleep on night shift and we leave. Never turning back. Our dad isn't going to like this, but it's what has to be done. Because dad was loosing it.
After about 30 minutes of constant running we approach a small house, Looking safe for the night.
Lucas takes out his pistol and opens the door. sitting on the floor was a Man with a big hole in his head. A shot gun in his lap. I cover my mouth in disgust and run outside. Lucas stays behind to check the guy.
After 10 minutes he comes outside, letting me know he got rid of the body.
"I found this letter beside the guy" he hands me the letter.
' These things took everything I ever loved Ingrid, Danny, little Pete even Brutus! What's the point anymore, mind as well end it! whoever is reading this I have Ammo and Canned food down in the basement. help yourselves.

Lucas opens the basement door and a stench of decay floods the room. Then the moans of the dead. No way we are getting that stuff.
Walkers climb up the stairs. Lucas kicks one down and all follow.
He closes the door and puts a chair under the door handle. "It ain't safe here" Lucas grabs his bag and runs over to me.
"What If we made a mistake by leaving Dad?" I ask him. He grabs my arms and looks me in the eye. "Lauren we weren't safe there! did you see what happened to Penny?" I nod.
"Alright, lets get out of here" he says walking out the front door. I look at the basement door and saw a marker on the ground.
I picked it up and wrote 'DONT OPEN, DEAD DOWNSTAIRS' and followed Luke outside.
"Where are we headed now?" I ask Luke.
"Dad mentioned a prison a mile from Woodbury, at a supply meeting. maybe we could go there..." Luke implies.
Looks like we're headed for the prison.
