The Rescue

POV: LANCE
    I entered my lion a determined expression on my face. Keith hopped in with me and we took off following the trackers signal for the galra ship.   
    Shiro, Hunk, and Allura not far behind. After some time the trackers beeps kept getting faster and faster until a galra ship was visible.
    My heart started beating faster as a rush of adrenaline flowed through my body. "Are you ready?" Keith asked. I inhaled and exhaled deeply. "Yes."
    The plan was simple, we would sneak inside the galra ship without being noticed. Once we found where Pidge was located I would get her while Keith found her armor and bayard. We would then meet back where we enter and get back into Red. While the others covered for us in Black. I sure hope this plan works.
    Once we hid the lion on the blind spot of the galra ships cams we cut a hole through the wall and entered.
    There were many galra soldiers but we hid behind pillars to stay out of sight. "Do you have any idea where Pidge is located?" I wispered. "Nope." Keith answered. "We'll just have to look around or listen for something."
    We then continued walking until we got to the end of the hall. We quickly took a sharp left and ran to the next set of pillars. We were getting closer to the cells.
  Then out of no where a glass shattering screech rang through what seemed like the whole ship, for even all the soldiers looked taken aback. "It sounds like a young girl." I stated. "Oh my god! It's Katie!" Keith realized.
    We started running down the hall still hidden thankfully.
    Eventually we passed a room that had Pidge's armor and bayard inside. "Keep going!" Keith wispered.I nodded.
    I then heard another scream even louder than the first. She was close by. I was finally gonna find her.
    Tears started to form in my eyes.
    I soon found a room that was surprisingly not guarded. I could see Haggar through the small window the room had.
    I ran faster.
    Then anger boiled inside of me. This witch has been hurting her.
    I kicked the door open and sprinted at Haggar. "Don't you touch her!" I yelled and shot my bayard at her. She immediately started throwing balls of lightning at me. But I dodged them without being harmed.
    I glanced at Pidge. She was lying on the floor blood pooling around her. She was unconscious. I was so angry. "How could you do this to her!" I yelled. I charged at the witch as fast as possible and knocked her down with the butt of my shotgun. I punched her in the stomach. And after my second blow she was out cold.
    I inhaled and exhaled hard. "Pidge!" I ran over to her and slid on my knees. I rested her head on my hand and checked for her pulse. Thank god she was alive. I can't believe she would do this to you. Tears started flowing down my face.
    Then Keith ran in with her armor and bayard. "We have to go, now! There are galra on our tail!" Keith yelled. "Okay I'll carry her." I answered.
    I scooped her up bridal style and we started running out of the room and into the corridor. I ran as fast as I could trying to protect Katie with my shield.
    "We're on our way out." I yelled through the coms. "Do you have her?" I could hear Hunk ask. "Yes. But she's hurt bad." I answered back to him.
    Galra soldiers were yelling and shooting at us. Thankfully Keith was right behind me slicing galra left and right.
    We finally made it to the opening we had made to get in and hopped through it, dodging shots by millimeters.
    When we entered the Red lion I set Pidge down and hopped into the seat. Keith checked Pidge's heartbeat and monitored her breathing. I took off and flew us back to the castle as fast as I possibly could.
    The black lion and its passengers were already back a few seconds before us so I asked them to be ready.
    I was crying now, crying bad. I was so worried for her. I couldn't live without her. I loved her.
    "Have a pod ready when we get out." Keith yelled. "Okay, we'll get one ready as soon as possible." Allura yelled back.
    The minute we landed inside the lion hanger I scooped up Pidge and ran. She was loosing blood and she might not make it. I ran faster than I every have before my heart beating maybe a bit to fast.
    The second I got to the healing pods I opened it and put her in. I exhaled deeply. "Is she going to be alright?" Hunk asked. "I don't know Hunk, I don't know." My voice cracked. I fell to his arms and cried. "She almost died. I don't know what I would do without her." All I could do was wait. And wait. And wait. Praying she would make it. I was getting really anxious. "I'm sure she will be fine." Shiro said. "Why don't we all get some rest. Im sure she'll wake up tomorrow"
